I was there with my family for thanksgiving dinner we had a reservation and it went well with that, we got seated less than 5 minutes after we arrived, hostess were really nice, but as soon as we were seated everything went down hill, our waitress took at least 10 minutes to get to us after that she took our drink and food order together we knew she was busy so we try to make our order as simple as possible 2 ice teas 2 soft drinks and 4 turkey dinners as they are served no modifications, 3 soups and 1 salad. After that 10 minutes after she came back with our soups and salad and 10 minutes after with the drinks so soup before drinks. 40 minutes after we got our food but, at this point we had ask already 2 times for bread after that we ask for bread in the middle of our dinner and when we were almost done with our dinner we ask one more time. She just keeps saying sure as soon as is out of the oven! So I guess is one oven per table because every other table got their bread at the end we were over it and ask for our pies to go she brought them all 4 at the same time and literally almost threw the boxes on our table so two of them landed upside down. Honestly for an $185 dollars meal for 4 people I think is overpriced I think I would rather go to Denny's next time better service at way cheaper price.
I've been eating at Mimi's for over 35 years, but I doubt I'll go back. The quality has gone so far down, the expectations were not met, and the experience has just gone downhill overall.
First time trying to take the family to a restaurant for Thanksgiving, so I have nothing else to compare it to, other than my expectations vs. reality. We knew they were serving off the holiday menu only. What we didn't know was that it was like an airplane flight, where they bring you a fixed plate with everything on the holiday menu, regardless of whether or not you wanted it. There was a choice of salad (I think two salads and three soups), and there was a choice of pie for dessert (pecan or pumpkin), but everything else was served the same. There were six sides (gravy, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce). No rolls or bread, which is odd, because, you know...Mimi's. Maybe not coincidentally, there were also 6 mixed cocktails available for purchase. Another expectation is that our party of 14 would be seated around the same table, or at least a collection of tables, placed together that were all the same height. The reality is that a few members of the party had one elbow on a table three inches taller than their other elbow on the shorter table. This made dining somewhat challenging for the four octogenarians in our party. Another expectation is that the waitress would remember our beverage orders, and not stand at the end of the table and ask loudly, "OK, who had the Cokes/". Yes, it was a holiday, and we expected it to be busy, but the whole experience left my family with some regret we tried something different this year. And to whoever was in the back preparing dishes, for some reason might have anticipated a negative review, and that's why they garnished my green bean casserole with candied bacon, and my sweet potatoes with dried onion flakes.
The brunch menu is large with something for everyone. Both dishes were excellent. Initial drink order was very slow, but everything else was excellent and great value.
waitress was slow, inattentive, didn't check back very often, and really dropped the ball. This is from someone that's been in the restaurant industry for decades. It really doesn't expect too much other than average service. This was far below it. Probably will not come back.
Called ahead for some madelines, get there and it’s not available. Ask for another bakery, carrot nut loaf and the host left my order to go grab another order. Hostess next to her just looking, seems very undertrained and overwhelmed staff unable to process orders as they are received.

This was such a weird and off-putting meal. My group and I went for lunch and had even made a reservation and our service was really bad. Even though we were seated right in front of the bar and our own waitress could see us, it took a while for our orders to be received. We ordered an appetizer and it took forever for it to come our with our waitress and other staff members avoiding making eye contact or checking on us. Once we finally got a hold of someone, we were met with an attitude and as if we were bothering their social hour. Our appetizer ended up coming out seconds before our main meals. Rather than it be the waitress who was not occupied at all serving our food, we instead got a really pushy and overbearing waiter who just made the rest of the experience uncomfortable. It felt like we were being overwhelmed with service to almost shut us up from being upset about waiting for our appetizer. Odd experience and proved there was no reason to return.
Ordered Chicken, baked potato, and broccoli. The baked potato was hot and perfect, the chicken was very odd looking so I tasted it but didn't eat it, and the broccoli and chicken were lacking any flavor at all. The baked potato was great though!

I've been bringing my parents here for around 20 years since they moved to Santa Ana. It's always been a pleasurable experience. I recommend trying the juicy cheeseburger and the French pot roast dish. I'd also like thank Jasmine for being so kind and considerate with the way she greets my elderly parents for each of their visits.

The French Pot Roast is very good, almost as good as their original American style Pot Roast.

Service at Mimi's Cafe from Jazmine was fantastic. Food was fresh and tasty. Overall we had a great experience.
It really enjoy their muffins! They're having a special right now too and that makes it a lot easier to enjoy them. Have one of their amazing entrees and you get four muffins free with a purchase of four. It's a winner!

I have not been at Mimi’s in years, I met with my friend there for breakfast.
There was a baby shower going on, it was very loud even though it was in a different room. I ordered a chicken cordon blue, it was overcooked, I couldn’t even cut it with the knife, I showed that to the waitress, she asked me if I want a sharper knife 😆🤣😂 I told her, I want a meat that is soft to cut and eat. She changed for something else.
My friend ordered a tuna melt, it was horrible, she didn’t eat it and she didn’t want to complain, so, she just ate the fries and the salad. We’ll never go back for sure.
