This bakery is owned by a French lady who is a bit stern and not very customer friendly. Overly sweet desserts from what was available to purchase upon walk-in. When you do walk into the establishment, it is a cold environment made to look like a French cafe, but it's set up for party tea rentals. Not sure who would want to have teatime in an industrial location with the blinds closed. Apparently, you have to custom order all desserts and cakes otherwise you won't really know what you're getting in terms of flavor and quality. From what I sampled, it was mostly sugar heavy desserts and not worth the price .

Beautiful and delicious cakes. Quick turnaround. Very nice and helpful with free cookies to take home.

Best cannolis ever. Coming from New York I tend to be very selective, having had the best all my young life. These match Ferraro's in every way.

I needed to order a birthday cake for my mom's 81st birthday. It was a Tuesday, and I needed.it by Friday. Ayliz graciously said okay and I told her I was on a budget. I wanted a simple cake with flowers on it. She worked with me and created such a beautiful cake! You would never know a limited budget was involved! It was detailed. It was very simple to order, it was all handled by phone and by text and photo ideas. The cake was chocolate with a mocha mousse. Oh my goodness!! This was an amazing cake! So good!! The buttercream wasn't too sweet, it was delicious and smooth. The cake was moist and chocolate goodness! The flowers were made from buttercream frosting, no fondant here! People at the restaurant were commenting on how pretty the cake was!! I would definitely keep Poul's as a go to bakery for cakes! You need to, too!!Parking: Parking is on the side of the building

This is NOT a place to come , sit and get pastries. Online it incorrectly says they are open. We drove over 30 minutes just for the doors to be locked? We called and the staff was very rude. Didn't apologize for the inaccurate info and just said they are taking pickup orders for the next day. Don't come here unless you call ahead and ensure they are open and only plan on ordering to go.

If I could have negative stars I would have put that instead. The lady who answered the phone had a rude demeanor and an inflated ego because she won some silly little award for her cannolis. Shame that the scarcity of cannolis in this city makes her one of the few options to order from.

My wife drove all the way across town at 3:15pm because the website and online info said open until 8:00pm.And they decided to close up for the day without notice. Who runs a business like that?

If I were to have one last meal, my dessert would be from Poul’s Bakery. Ayliz and her first chef, Vito, are artisans crafting the most amazing cannoli and Italian rum cake I have ever eaten. Once you go with Poul’s, you can never go back.

I ordered a last minute cake two days in advance for a bridal dinner. Poul's Bakery not only helped me with ease so last minute, but they did a phenomenal job. The cake looked so elegant and tasted incredible. Some people at the dinner loved it so much they asked for the name of the bakery. Cannot recommend this place enough!

I called to place an order and the woman eho answered was incredibly rude. I saw the other negative reviews regarding poor customer service and I'm shocked this woman is still at it and answering the phone. Get your website fixed so customers can place orders online.

BAD SERVICE! VERY BAD SERVICE! Does your employee even understand English? I called inquiring about your store but she answered differently! WORST OF THE WORST!!!

Absolutely would not recommend. Ayliz, the owner was a nightmare, she had an awful attitude and was very rude, demanding, and condescending from day 1. When I called to enquire about a wedding cake, she basically berated me for asking some basic questions. She was irritated by my asking about the flavor options, and rudely responded “Have you even looked at our website?”. Their tasting (which they charge $25 for) is a strange complicated process, and all the cakes are mediocre at best - dry, lack flavor. She claims their prices are the best in the market, but you’ll find that is not the case. We ended up getting a MUCH better custom cake from a vendor in Fullerton, for around half the price. The whole experience was such a turnoff, my husband and I are very glad we went with a different vendor and I’d recommend you do the same. Won’t be going back, would not recommend at all.

Their Angel chocolate chip cookies are the best!!! I wish I could find a recipe now that I'm in TX.
