Loved it! A lot of ramen choices, and can make some of them vegan. Gyoza was good too!
Solid 2.5
There was only one worker in front of the restaurant. Maybe 2-3 in the kitchen. Food took SO LONG to come out. That was the biggest downside. There were a couple of people that were picking up, and they took priority over the people who were sitting down in the.
Food was ok, there was something crispy that was added on top. It should not be added as it gets really soggy. The broths are light and over all the ramen were a solid 3.
However, I will not be returning.

The service was amazing, the person helping me was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu and is the only thing keeping the rating from being lower, but the Ramen is another story. If you were looking for something traditional or like tonkatsu, this is not the place for you. Their broth has no body and the flavor is stale. The soft boiled egg was overcooked so the texture was rubbery, dry and chalky in the yolk. If you are not someone that like vegan cuisine I would avoid this place.

Came in and already knew what I wanted 20 minutes before closing. I understand it was close to closing but I was hoping I could get something and saw people just finishing their ramen and was excited. Only to be told that their boiler was broken and they could not serve ramen. I’m not sure how honest that was. The girl that came to the front looked like she just wanted to get out right at closing. Just say you are no longer serving if that’s the case.

Food is good service is bad. One person working both the table and counter during the lunch rush.
The service was great, the ramen was alright. The appetizers were yummy.
I think Rakkan was a decent spot for vegetarians who want to have ramen without sacrificing texture and flavor. There’s plenty of seating and service was pretty quick. I’m not sure if I’d come back though.
⚪️Quartz: Waiter personally recommended this. I think the broth was rich and savory. It definitely felt slightly creamier/richer than other broths I’ve had. The noodles were the other highlight being well-cooked so that they were bouncy and just a bit chewy. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to find more ramen after every mouthful. The rest of the toppings like the pork, broccolini and seaweed were a bit disappointing though. The pork was thankfully not cooked to the point of being dry but was still soft and easy to have. But it felt like I was eating a slab of chicken breast than your usual chashu. Maybe if they tried using thighs instead?
🍗Karage: There was a light crispy layer on the outside but inside was a bit too dry. Not bad though.
🍟Furikake Fries: Skip this one honestly. Just felt like plain fries from anywhere. The furikake didn’t really add any flavor to the fries. A bit disappointing.
Ambiance: wants to feel bougie but the sticky menu said otherwise
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian versions of almost every ramen

This place prioritieses the orders in and the people that top more and so if you pay more you'll have your food ready quick if you pay more. Food is so so and not worth going

So the deal is the vegan ramen is excellent but you gotta be prepared for something to go wrong when ordering. I have actually never had the right item delivered, often getting a non vegan option sent to me. I call in orders to pick up and sometimes they just never get placed and you end up waiting. The portions have decreased in the last year, which with inflation I have some compassion for but the service is so inconsistent, and that is something you can control. They have always offered to make things right but at some point you just gotta stop putting yourself through the drama.

I went to this restaurant with my brother because he said that the one he tried in LA was really good. It turned out to be such a disappointment because the soup was salty, oily, and filled with so much garlic flavor. They really need to reconsider adjusting the garlic amount in the ramen. I am a big fan of garlic but this is just too much. I feel like I was eating garlic rather than ramen.
The staff is nice but the waiting is long from waiting to get your order in and making it.
Overall, I won't recommend this restaurant, at least this branch.

This place used to be our favorite. Over the past few years, service levels and value has gone down though. While the food is delicious, the portion sizes have drastically been reduced and even worse, server service levels gone to minus.
Service- The past two times, we encountered rude staff. It appears that the owner has replaced experienced staff with high school students to cut costs and is ok to sacrifice service. The staff has zero experience of customer service. They do not care if orders are on time, accurate or mixed up. They are purely there as a body for order taking/transactions. No wonder eventually (and sadly) will be replaced with robots.
Value- as with all things inflation, this place has succumbed to cutting out on portions (eg. broth, vegetables) and gradually increased its prices. No longer value.
We used to love this spot/ our go-to for vegetarian ramen. Sadly, will have to look for other spots in town.

The worst portions I’ve ever had. I ordered a small pork bowl with salad base. I understand it’s a small, I’m not expecting something big. But good lord, they fill up the container 1/8 of the way. For $11!? I go back and point out that I don’t see any pork, and the employee says “they are the brown squares” and guess how many? THREE. THREE TINY PIECES OF PORK. $11!? What a joke. Never come here if you want actual value.
