Great food! If your looking for some really good quality food without the fancy restaurant vibe, checkout Roba Noodle. Union square is awesome and Roba Noodles is our go to restaurant there.

My first time trying Roba Noodle. I've been to The District a couple of times and Roba Noodle is inside some strange food hall that doesn't look like it's thriving since half of it looks closed. Fortunately I found Roba Noodle and ordered. I tried the Spam Musubi and Chicken Curry Katsu. They were very tasty and the spam Musubi is made to order. The chicken Curry katsu had a perfect crunchy coating and plenty of curry on the side! Definitely want to come back and try more!

m u s u b i spam musubi: 7.5/10 basic musubi it's good but nothing special r i c e b o w l s miso salmon: 9/10 everything cooked to perfection and seasoned well. flaky salmon, nicely charred brussels and good sushi rice unagi (eel): 7.5/10 nicely cooked on top of yummy sushi rice. however I wish they included another side to accompany the ginger. the eel was a little overly marinated, I needed a lot of rice to balance out the flavor

I came here during lunch with my coworkers. It was pretty empty when we were there, and the plaza that it was located in reminded me of the OC Mix. Instead of a person taking your order, you order on a screen-- great for those wary about social interactions or COVID-19z I was really craving the uni noodles, so I got the combo with an uni noodles upgrade, sausages, and mushrooms. The sausages and mushrooms were good and the noodles were cooked well, but I wish there was more uni flavoring cooked into the noodles instead of having uni bits scattered around. Overall, it was a good experience though and I would be open to trying it again if I was in the area.

I understand the whole self serve platform thing, but just providing an estimated wait time would be helpful. Waiting 35 minutes when you don't see anybody around is a little tough.

These are the best udon noodles I've had!! So fresh and chewy; I should've added more noodles since it is free, but I refrained... I ordered the Roba Noodle Combo and had the Kimchi Noodles, Salmon Skewer, and Brussel Sprouts Skewer. The kimchi was great; however, a bit overwhelming, but what did I expect! It was delicious though, but you HAVE to love kimchi. The salmon was cooked perfectly; it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. So delicious. And the Brussel sprouts skewer came with 2 brussels that were halved...I wish there was more, it was very tasty and seasoned well. I ordered online for pick up and it was ready 5 minutes earlier than the time! I will be back!
Went to Roba Noodle today with my hubby at the Tustin District center. The restaurant is located inside the Union market building across from Portola coffee. The musubis were good, not great and priced at roughly five dollars each I think I'd get them for a Togo option but there are better musubis for a little cheaper in Irvine. There isn't a cashier just an iPad to order off of which is typical for most Togo stands like this one. The cook seemed to be the only employee working today maybe due to staff shortage so I saw a few customers waiting a while to get their food, our small order came in about 15 mins. Over it's a good place for something quick but just decent food and a little higher priced for individual musubis.

Great location as soon as you enter the Union Market. Have passed by this place a few times but never stopped due to limited menu. Now I know why, the few things they do have are super tasty. I stopped today because they just added the Bulgogi Masubi and wanted to try. Also tried their beef noodle soup, chicken skewer and other masubi flavors. Will be coming back for the soup and skewers again, so tasty. Try out their different combos. Gave it a four just because portions are a little small for price point in my opinion.

Decided to get a late lunch at Roba Noodle today. We got the kid's meal, spam musubi, meat skewers, fried chicken, and kimchi udon. Had a craving for some yakitori so we decided to check the place out. Got our food in a reasonable time. I see others complaining about wait times. With COVID, people need to understand that staffing is an issue everywhere and places have had to cut back. If you're looking for a place for a quick bite to eat, don't come here...Good food takes time. We were very pleased with everything. Chicken was very flavorful and crispy. The yakitori was delicious. A little salty but that's what the noodles are for. And the spam musubi was perfect. The kids meal isn't served in the cute bear bowl so don't expect that. We'll definitely be back soon. The owner (I'm assuming that was him) was the cook, server, and dish washer so give him a break. He was very nice and attentive. There are napkins and spray to clean the common tables where you can eat. I saw a lot of people eating outside so I think we'll be doing that next time to enjoy the nice weather we get in SoCal.
