Enjoyed my earl grey latte!
Rye Goods is my absolute favorite coffee shop in Newport Beach! The staff is so friendly and sweet - Shout out Carina, Kelly, and Annette!! Also the coffee is UNREAL and food is to die for! Highly recommend the vanilla latte & sundried tomato egg bagel sandwich!
Nice spacious sitting area. Good aromatic coffee and bake goods.
This past weekend, we missed our usual visit to the farmers market to pick up our favorite sourdough bread. Looking for an alternative, we came across a hidden gem—Rye Goods, a charming little bakery not far from the old Marine Corps hangars. The shop may be small in size, but it offers an impressive variety of artisanal breads and baked goods, all at very reasonable prices. From hearty sourdough loaves to sweet pastries and savory treats, there’s something for everyone.
Rye Goods also features a spacious and welcoming seating area, making it an ideal place to slow down and enjoy a coffee paired with a fresh pastry. Whether you’re in the mood for a relaxing brunch, a light lunch, or just need to grab something on the go, the shop provides a cozy and convenient atmosphere. The quality of the products and the thoughtful setup of the space make it clear that this bakery is more than just a place to buy bread—it’s a community spot worth returning to. Discovering Rye Goods turned what could have been a disappointing bread-less weekend into a delightful new experience, and it’s definitely a place we’ll be visiting again soon.
Vibe of the place is just too good.
Best Bread in Orange County
Overpriced and not worth it. I went to the Tustin location this afternoon and ordered 4 cookies, 1 scone, 2 bagels and 1 croissant. The total was $35. Initially I thought this was excessive but perhaps the taste and quality were worth it. Unfortunately, that was not the case as the $4 thumbprint cookie was good but at a mere 3 inches in diameter and lackluster taste, it was simply not worth the exorbitant price. I then tried the chocolate ganache coffee croissant, which was dry, tasteless and had a miniscule amount of chocolate. I understand this is an organic bakery that uses less sugar than your typical bakery and I am I by no means comparing it to one. I am however, comparing it to Frogs bakery in Gardena which is also organic and uses less sugar and there is no comparison as Frogs is infinitely better. I haven't tried the bagels or scone yet, but I hope they're so good it takes away that feeling that I got overcharged....by a lot.
Update- The scone had a wierd aftertaste and the texture was more like a dense pound cake. The bagels were good.
Love their pastries and sourdough. I drive out from chino hills just for them.
Another little hidden gem. I had the avocado toast and it was delicious! I love the spacious sitting area. I will definitely be returning back to rye goods.
Upscale bakery and coffee shop with a modern, industrial hipster vide. Definitely worth a visit.

Everything, from cleanliness and quality to friendliness and speed, is perfect—except for the restroom.

Seems like they like to use sourdough for everything. Didn't work too well for the croissant though, but that's just my taste. Great big open space to eat and hang. The person taking our order though didn't seem like she wanted to be there though.

A good place to start your day. The baked goods are fresh, no preservatives involved and a wide variety of options available. You'll be sure to find something that strikes your fancy. Would definitely go back in the future.
