I really appreciate Taco Mesita
for being a seed oil free restaurant, and I genuinely enjoy most items on the menu. The flavors and quality are usually great.
However, I’ve consistently noticed that the chicken in the chicken burrito is often undercooked and appears pink. Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, the chicken was significantly undercooked and caused food poisoning.
Because of this, I would strongly recommend avoiding the chicken burrito unless the cooking consistency improves. I still think this place has a lot of potential and hope this feedback helps address a serious food safety concern.

We drive from LA just for their bean & cheese burritos, the best! We’ll stock up and freeze to save for later. Just tried their steak chilaquiles today too, another banger

Was looking for some food late at night and decided to finally try Taco Mesita. I picked the steak burrito. It is expensive, but it was delicious! Steak was extremely tender and the flavors melded together amazingly. Will definitely go back!

Bean and cheese burrito took forever and was salty. Horachata was ok, but it's always perfect at taco Mesa in orange, it's delicious.

Edit: burrito was actually not too salty and the jalapeño sauce was super spicy and delicious, horchata and wait time was the disappointment

It's so unfortunate when you find a place that has some delicious and thoughtful food but they don't seem to know how to run a business. My partner and I used to go here pretty much every week, and we told many friends to check them out as well. We especially enjoyed their Taco Tuesday and Happy Hour offerings. The food is on the pricey side, but we were glad to pay a little extra for such well-crafted and flavorful tacos. We did notice some inconsistencies occasionally with how full the tacos were or sometimes getting skirt steak or barbacoa that was too chewy (sometimes to the point of being inedible), but we were forgiving and never complained.

Recently, we went for a Happy Hour and ordered our usual tacos in the drive-thru. The person over the speaker gave us our usual total and we pulled up to wait for our food. A different person came to take our payment and gave us a new price of nearly $10 more than what we had just been told. We were informed that the tacos we ordered were no longer part of the Happy Hour menu and would be full price instead. There was NO mention of this from the person who took our order, nor on the drive-thru menu, their online menu, or their social media accounts. To this day, those items still show as the Happy Hour menu. We asked for a copy of the new menu and were told to check online. It doesn't exist there. You'd think they would honor the price they quoted, and the prices they have listed on their website, but they did not. No apologies or anything.

We've recently considered giving them another chance, and trying their new menu offerings.. but as I said, weeks later they still have the same happy hour menu on their website. The one they refused to honor for us. I don't know what they are serving, and I don't know how anyone could. I tried calling the business to ask about their happy hour menu but kept getting sent to voicemail. I'm not sure what happened to this place, but they've lost some regular customers.

Didn't like the food. Service was a but slow even though the restaurant was almost empty. Tacos are small for its cost. The tacos have a different taste than usual, I didn't like it

To begin the service was great! The gentleman who took our order explained the menu perfectly and was patient as it was our first time. We ordered a bean and cheese burrito, a steak burrito, a pork shoulder taco and a steak taco. They make their tortillas in house which is nice and they are seed oil free! I’ve been trying to support places that cook with beef tallow and/or olive oil so that gets huge points based on that fact alone. The food was absolutely delicious. Nothing felt greasy or heavy and the flavor is amazing. Price point is great for the quality plus they have a little happy hour at the end of the day. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

One of our favorite spots! Getting a seat can be hard if it's busy but the food is amazing! Burritos, tacos, the salsas, taquitos, churros - you can't go wrong with any of them. The staff is always pleasant and the food fresh but quick.

Unique take on tacos so don't expect your typical taqueria. These tacos are carefully crafted and packed with flavor. The outdoor patio is really nice.

This was the absolute worse burrito and taco I’ve ever had! The drive through menu makes the food sound good and the cute box it comes in adds to that…. But the food is horrible! Watery refried beans, tough and fatty meat. $32 for 2 drinks, 1 taco and a burrito. I wanted to stay away from the usual fast food but a burrito supreme from Taco Bell would’ve been a million times better than what I just ate. Two bites and it was enough to throw it away.
Stay away from this place
