I absolutely LOVE The Halal Guys! Their food is seriously legit. If I had a friend visiting who’s never tried it before, this spot would be one of my top recommendations. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 (which I’d save for the Costa Mesa location) because they seemed a bit more conservative with the protein here. The Costa Mesa spot piles it on like a champ! But the flavor and quality are just as amazing at both places. Honestly, I still loved it just as much—just wished there was a little more meat haha (guess I’m such a fatty).
Anyway, definitely go for the combo plate. Extra white sauce all the way. And if you’re like me and don’t handle spice well, a little red sauce on the side is perfect. No doubt I’ll be back!

I’ve been a delivery driver for multiple platforms (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.) for years, and Halal Guys Tustin is one of the worst when it comes to treating delivery drivers with respect.
I consistently arrive before any dine-in customers, and every time, I’m forced to wait while the kitchen prioritizes walk-in orders. I’ve literally watched multiple dine-in customers walk in, order, eat, and leave before they even start preparing the delivery order I came for. No urgency, no communication, no accountability.
This isn’t just an inconvenience — it’s disrespectful to delivery workers who keep your business running. We don’t get paid to wait 15–20 minutes while everyone else is served first.
If you’re ordering delivery from here, just know: your food might sit for a while before it even gets made. And if you’re a fellow driver: skip this restaurant if you value your time.

This was definitely the worst Halal guys experience we’ve ever had. All the employees behind seem like they didn’t know what they were doing. There was tons of garbage on the floor, fallen meat, fallen fries, dirty tables. Now to the food. Greasiest and worst Halal guys food we’ve ever had. Tons of oil! Why is this the case at this Halal guys location and not the case at any others we’ve ever been to? I would never go back here ever again. It seems like the ownership here doesn’t care about improving things because they are in a prime location and people keep walking through the door but if I am Halal guys corporate, I would definitely look into these guys. They are not a good representation of the brand and this franchisee or management doesn’t care. Sad to see such a good brand and concept go down the drain.
