I recently tried Break Your Gast cafe in Union City, California, and I'm thrilled to share my positive experience. I opted for the Korean BBQ bowl to go, which was a delightful mix of rice, lettuce, sautéed mushrooms, and chicken coated in a flavorful teriyaki sauce. What impressed me even more was that on December 25th, they were open, adding an extra layer of convenience and warmth to my dining experience. Grateful for the delicious food and the accommodating service – definitely a spot worth visiting!

Very warm and personable staff. Consistent food quality. I get the 3 egg combo with corned beef hash and am never disappointed. Sure, I have eggs and bacon at home but coming here is a vibe. Love supporting this small business.

I've been there once in August of 2023. We sat outside, and while looking at the menu, I was getting an occasional whiff of urine. At first, I thought I was mistaken, but after the 4th whiff of it, my wife and I checked the inside, and there was now a table available inside. I think the homeless urinate on their outside patio area or on the bushes nearby. Gross. So, looking at the breakfast menu, the only combo breakfast is a small plate. One egg, two bacon, OR sausage, and, in the case of a waffle combo, just half a waffle. That is what I ordered, but I left hungry. The food was ok. Cheap sausage links, waffle tasted like an oily fair type funnel cake. The egg was good. My wife said her omlette was ok. Her fresh fruit was good. The glass of water was good too. We had to ask for a copy of our receipt as they only brought the one copy. We were debating between trying this place or going to Denny's. Halfway through our meal, we both said we should have gone to Denny's.

It took almost 10 minutes for the waitress to acknowledge us is the tiny 6 table restaurant. We sat out side waiting to place our order and the waitress sat and waited on people that came after us. The food was really good though once it arrived.

Break Your Fast is my new favorite place! The food here is top notch! They have a spinach salad with strawberries & walnuts and a strawberry vinigarette dressing, that is to die for! They even serve mimosas and drinks! I think this is a little family owned place, and the service is fantastic. They even remember you when you come back! I LOVE Break Your Fast!
Portions are a bit small but service is quite fast. They open quite early. Locations is kind of hidden. It was a full house at 8 am on a week day.

This is my favorite breakfast spot! It's super cute and the staff are very friendly. All the food is delicious but the best thing are the begnets! It's right across the street from Union City BART. The portions are generous and the coffee flows freely.

Little holenin the wall breakfast place. Good food good hospitality. If you drive too fast you will miss it. Nothing special about the food but it is good. Would try if you have the time. Best time is early through the week as it is very busy on weekends and very tiny so it is long wait.

Yummy diner type food with great customer service. We got a mix of breakfast and lunch foods and it really hit the spot for everyone. Also, the staff was so accommodating and thoughtful. They hadn't set up their outdoor seating, but immediately set up for us when requested and made my daughter's birthday brunch feel special.
