Only a passing visit but impressed by the courteous way that I was received induced me to try a Chicken Tikka to go. Had to wait twenty minutes and found it excellent. Will return for another longer visit to sample the extensive menu.

Their Butter Chicken & Chicken Tikka Masala is the best in the Bay Area

Crying shame...Chicken tikka masala was full of water and the chicken was dry. It made me think it was previously frozen and then thawed? It was weird too because the flavor could have been amazing and complex if it weren’t for all the water in my meal. It was a total crying shame.Rice was very buttery, or full of ghee and no cardamom podsNaan bread was very soft where I prefer it more crisp.

Dude, how much more can you ask for from an Indian Restaurant?!? Amazing Flavor, decent service, not hard to find, plenty of parking. The entrees are as good as the buffet. MY FAVORITE place to have entrees. They way they bring out all the accompanying menu items with your entree is brilliant. Only place in hayward I will go for indian food.

If you enjoy Indian cuisine and a bargain try the weekend buffet at Favorite Indian Restaurant where four adults can enjoy all you can eat for under $60. The variety of food offerings is very good, as well as the quality. The restaurant is neat and clean. You’ll also find a decent salad bar,and don’t be surprised is they offer mango soft serve for dessert. Go hungry and enjoy.

I don't know why they have high rating. Based on high rearing went for lunch buffet about a month back. It's Punjabi Indian restaurant and I did't find anything so amazing which will Make me come back. Just average food, my review is only for vegetarian items.

If you could convince me at an Indian restaurant to get seconds, you have me sold. So when I walked into FIR, I was like okay there food is going to be mediocre and it'll be fine. But I was soooo wrong! People, there $10.99 lunch buffet is so worth the price and for the options you are getting. The chicken was delicious and chewy and had enough spices to it. The desserts selection was fulfilling and can make any heart smile! I love that you can ask them for garlic or plain naan and they keep coming by to keep refilling them for you if you ask. They have Bollywood/Punjabi songs playing in the background which I love in Indian places because you can share the story about the song or the movie with your friends. I believe soda is included in the price so again for a $12 (after taxes) lunch that you can keep stuffing yourself with food for is insane and you got to love it! Sometimes I forget how great you are Fremont, touché.

Its mismanaged. Buffet place and customer is waiting with plate full of food, for good 15 mins for the naans. The naans took forever to come and the owner had a weird excuse. Saying they put tandoori chicken in the oven so could not make naan. A restaurant can't function like that.

The rice was just perfect. Fresh vegetables. The garlic bread was awesome. Good chai tea. Price is $10.99 for all you can eat buffet and you also get ice cream. Yay! I wish they had fruit option as well as ice cream for dessert. REALLY GOOD!!!!

It's not for people who are OCD about orderliness but it's probably the best Indian bufffet I've ever been to. And I've been to a lot, in the Bay Area and beyond. I know you won't believe me because my name is not Indian, but I was Indian in a past life. Don't worry ;)

The guy ignored me for 15 minutes came to the front where I was standing and ask me if I need help then I told him I was going to order but had some questions, he said ok. Then left and never came back I even flag him down ones more, never came to.see what I need it, after i was leaving his employee came and ask what i was leaving I told him that I was there to order food for 100 people for a company party Then he was very impressed I told him Already called another company and that I was bringing my business elsewhere. I will never come to this place again.

Favorite Indian Restaurant has been here for years. like their namesake, their buffet is plentiful, good value, average tasting. chicken/goat dishes may have free range aspects as they weren't in the pan. out on the range? not busy monday lunch. eats: lunch buffet, weekdays, 10.99. meats veggie dessert/soup/salad -butter chicken veg. pakora kheer -goat curry samosa soft serve cream -tandoori chicken naan chicken soup -chicken tikka masala saag lentil soup -chicken curry veg. biryani gulab jamun -chili chicken white rice fruits, lettuce -fish pakora eggplant sauces chana masala dressings paneer tikka masala dal makhani bindl masala notes: -large selection of entrees, free naan, chai, soft serve cream soft drinks? -most meat dishes had sauces only, no meat (goat, chicken tikka, curry, butter chicken, chili chicken, etc.) -overfried veggies. many veggie dishes, average to good. -best eats: fish pakora, gulab jamun, saag, tandoori chicken moist, not flavorful. chai pretty good. single server ok. -no parking issues.

Gone from best to average and average to worst. Went for dinner ordered shahi paneer with two garlic naan and rayita. Cost 20$. Naan dry and cold. Curry was sweet and served lukewarm. Very disappointed with current visit.
