Family favorite! My parents have been coming to Hong Kong Restaurant in Union City for years. Authentic Chinese cuisine, fresh ingredients, and friendly service. Consistently delicious!

We always order the hot and sour soup, clay pot, salt and pepper ribs and the sweet and sour fish.

Highly recommend!

Me and my family have been coming here for years. But because one of the employees behavior, we will not be coming back. She is very rude. We tried to place an order and she couldn’t understand us as she doesn’t know English well. She had been rude for years and sometimes she was nice but I’ve finally had enough of her attitude. After her getting impatient with us trying to place an order, she got our order and never came back. We flagged her down twice and one time she scoffed and ignored us, the second time she waved and acted like she was going to come to our table soon and she never did. We had to ask a different waiter for the check and water. This is the first time I didn’t leave a tip at restaurant. This isn’t a one time occurrence either. She has been rude to my mother many times over the years and we are done with this place. You’ll know who she is if you get her as your server.

This place has been here forever great food if you're in the area I highly suggest coming here with your family if you're in the area like I mentioned it is fresh and tasty see you soon

Vegetarian options: You can get vegetables that are steamed with about any spices I highly recommend getting mad if you're on a specific diet because of salt and so forth

Parking: Plenty of room for parking they do have a couple handicap spots as well

I have since ordering foods here because I initially found the foods nice. Lately however I ordered the wonton soup which normally costs $ 13+ but I specifically ordered for large +$9+ on top of the regular price of $13+ which amounted to $22+ and is delivered in 3 containers. This time, I was only given the 1 container instead of the 3 to meet the large order. I called the restaurant to clarify but insisted that the 1 container delivered is the large order which now costs $22+. They refused to acknowledge the problem and informed me to call instead the lady driver of doordash who has nothing to do with the foods as ordered. This restaurant is a definitely a big cheat and I will have no intention to order again from them as well as to warn other customers of their schemes to cheat. Moreover the staff is very rude and speaks only in the dialect that she could only understand. No manners.

My brother and I would frequent this place weekly when we lived in Union City. I still visit it every now and then, the fried rice is awesome (you can ask them to make it spicy) and the salt and pepper chicken wings are to die for, so juicy and flavorful. We always love our time here.

I have been coming to this restaurant with my family for over 20 years. We live right across the street and it has been my favorite Chinese restaurant for the entire 20 years. But I draw the line at taking advantage of loyal customers.Today I ordered steamed rice over the phone. I came in to pick it up and fair enough they require a minimum of $10 to use card, which is all I had. That has never been a problem and I usually simply add a few drinks to my order to to bring my total to $10 if I ever fall short. My total was $6 and I asked how much the canned sodas were so that I can bring a few sodas home for my family. I'm a single mother with 3 kids and I sacrifice to eat out, so of course I wanted my full $3+ additional worth of drinks. She proceeded to tell me that one canned drink would cost $3.35. There is a bit of a language barrier so I clarified, I said, for ONE CANNED DRINK? How much is each canned drink? She again repeated I could receive ONE drink for $3.35.I usually err on the side of not making a scene or being a difficult customer, plus I figured maybe they upped their prices, so I didn't argue and let her charge my card $10.05 and left. I had one order of steamed white rice and one canned coke. This didn't settle well with me so I went online and looked at their takeout order options and sure enough I saw that the sodas were in fact $1.20 ONLY. Not $3.35 like she lied and claimed. I just can't understand why she would not value me as a customer and do the right think, and offer me two sodas, or even 3 sodas and I would have lid whatever the total was beyond $10 in full...As I walked away and saw the pricing online I felt the need to go back and let her know calmly and kindly that I don't appreciate what she did and let her know that I see the pricing online and that she was wrong not to offer me the correct amount of sodas. That says they don't value me or the business my family has brought them over the past 20 years. I always recommend them any chance I get. But will no longer.I returned and questioned her about it and she stumbled and lied again saying the soda was $3.35 and that she figured the soda and TIP BROUGHT IT TO $10. So rather than offer a loyal paying customer the correct amount of sodas to bring their total to $10, she took it upon herself and felt entitled to lie to my face and steal $2 as a tip.I have been nothing but kind to them and loyal for 20 years. And she had the nerve to try and rob me of 2 sodas knowing I have children at home. And to add, I honestly wouldn't have even minded if I felt a tip was worthy, but their service is not very friendly at all, so I wouldn't fell compelled to tip anything for a takeout service where I don't even get that kind of service. The fact she lied and tried to deceive me is the major, unforgivable issue.

Food is good but employees are very rude and disrespectful. During their lunch break they are all eating in one table next to us. This one employee lady she keep staring on us and she is saying something to all the employees in Chinese language and they all are laughing.
