What I ordered was fish and Kahlua pig the Kahlua pig was average and I had no fish but it pile of seaweed I dug through the seaweed and I had no fish she claimed to me that was the fish this place was a joke I will never go back used to like this place but it's going downhill

I made an order for pickup for the bbq mix plate and it was missing the short ribs and half of the beef parts and was mostly chicken chopped into weird cuts and they tied the bag so I wouldn’t see it when I arrived. Make sure you check the plate before buying and leaving their restaurant. This is the third time they did this. I thought it couldn’t happen a third time boy was I wrong. Sheesh. And their restrooms omg you must go check that out to holy crap. If they’re not putting enough effort into cleaning their restrooms they must not give a care in the world on how they prepare our orders neither. Seriously go look. Almost threw up.

L&L is a chain restaurant. The one in Mountain View is better. But the food tastes great here too. However, the restaurant atmosphere is so poor. There is profanity and graffiti in the back dining area that they didn’t even bother cleaning up.

If a food place can't afford decent forks and knives, that will tell you that place is very bad. Please don't waste your money.

One of my comfort food..I loved their Bbq short ribs together with chicken katsu and rice with over easy egg..You can order ahead so you don’t need to wait for your food..
Food is delicious however service is horrible, cashier lady, Asian in her late 20’s maybe 30 years old is so rude. I asked her if they accept promos from the L&L app she said , what is that ? We don’t accept that. She said they don’t work with the App with a horrible attitudeBathroom is trash, they don’t clean it

This is one of the best “fast food” chains offering Hawaiian BBQ on the mainland. There are quite a few in the area, but this is my favorite and is the only one I know that is actually rooted in Hawaii.The Kal Bi, BBQ chicken and Kalua pork plate lunches are my favorite. They also have lau lau, saimin, musubi (SPAM, Portuguese sausage and other variants), loco moco, and other island favorites along with actual Hawaiian canned drinks, which you normally can only find in Hawaii.It’s a little piece of Hawaii right here, conveniently located near the Union City BART station and the major intersection of Decoto Road and Alvarado-Niles Blvd.
Vegetarian options: Not sure what’s you want to go to a BBQ place for vegetarian, but they do have some meatless options. Also Keto style carb free options.
Parking: Huge parking lot and walking distance (just across the street) fro the Union City BART station.
