Please DO NOT wait to be seated as Manila Sunrise is basically a takeout joint inside Island Pacific Supermarket in Union City, California. Now favorite takeout options for me & my usual partner-in-crime (hubby): the scrumptious tokwa't baboy, delectable arroz caldo & goto, & sweet melon juice complete with authentic melon strands. Take note that there is a minimum $ order amount if you pay by credit card. Overall impact: Winner!
Cute little kiosk with customer seating on the side. I usually order the Pancit Malabon which is one of my favorite dishes--it is expertly prepared with all the garnishes. The Arroz Caldo is also very tasty because they prepare it with enough chicken and sliced ginger. I also like the Carioca (fried sweet rice balls) which are delicious and go well with either their coconut or melon juice. It’s one of my go-to places for a satisfying snack or light meal!
