We love Isla but not for this particular visit. We like the food in the Newatk location and we’ve been there many times Here at Parilya Union City, we ordered sinigang pompano, chicken tinola and pork sisig. Pork sisig was ok, pompano fish was not fresh, seasoning was not good and chicken tinola was salty. I am writing this review for improvement. We’d like to go back here since it’s a short drive from our house… but we’re not sure. We’ll probably just go back to the Newark location.

Cute little place! Food was fantastic! Lechon was super crispy and not too salty. Chicken was great too. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Great authentic Kampampangan food. So happy this is in the neighborhood. First visit and enjoyed our food to go: Pinakbit, BBQ pork sticks, and sizzling Bangus. Will be back to try their other items.

Visited twice recently and I thought that maybe the cook put to much salt in Tenola Combination because the sisig was perfect. But, my rescent visit everything was salty.

Parilya is now a siting-down restaurant instead of fast food type. They have more menu available - I think the menu is the same as its sister restaurant, Isla.We went for lunch at 1:15pm and was seated immediately. We ordered chicken inasal (came with steamed rice), bangus silog (with rice, soup & soft drink), and halo halo.- chicken inasal: DELICIOUS 5pcs of sweet grilled chicken. The best chicken inasal in east bay imo. The meat was tender & flavorful. The sauce was definitely the winner for me. It came with a bucket of steamed rice - good for 2 people- bangus silog: 3 pcs of crispy bangus, sunny side up egg & soup. The fish were super crispy. But each piece was on smaller size. The vinegar sauce & tomato gave fresh bright taste to the dish. Super good!- halo halo: good but not worth $10 for me.The menu seemed more expensive now but I'll still come to have the chicken inasal!

Food was good, no doubt, but they only have like 2 or 3 servers and windows do not have blinds and they don't have air conditioning so it was like the customers are being dehydrated! The 2 servers who attended to our group deserves a raise. They handled the situation well (Jelly and Icus). They brought in a fan which helped a bit. I hope the management will do all the necessary improvements if they want customers to come back.

We have been coming to this place since it's reopening. A favorite place to eat with family and friends because of their many delicious selection and generous portion of Kapampangan staples. Special thanks to their staff, especially Ms. Jelly for taking good care of us.

This place is such a vibe! You can come have a drink with friends , watch the game and enjoy street style food! I like the portion sizing, so you can order as much or as little as you like depending on how hungry you are.

Service is terrible.came here today 5/13 at 3:00pm. Order 1030.The Waitresses were openly rude and disrespectful. I ordered a meal and received an open package of lumpia. The container was opened . No problem. When I asked for tape to close the box , the 2 young ladies ignored me and one even laughed. When I left the store and called to speak to a manager the cashier on duty asked me “why?” She isn’t available” I asked when she would be And the cashier proceeded to hang up .As an African American woman married to a Filipino man , we’ve always loved going here as it was my first experience with Filipino food.I definitely won’t be back due to this experience.**Please don’t be fooled by reviewers paid to give 5 star reviews in attempt to drown actual reviews and experiences**

I recommend the pig ears, the sisig, and the pancit!Although there are a lot of good Filipino places here in the Bay Area, I find some of them more catered to American taste. Not to say that they are not good because a lot of them are. I just find some of them lacking a quality of some sort.Parilya is different because it is the closest thing to that of those made in the Philippines. I cannot pinpoint what it exactly is. Maybe it's the saltiness or the bolder combinations of sweet, sour, and salty. Whatever that is, all I know is that their pig ears, pork barbecue, and their pancit truly deliver and invoke the same taste as those served in homes and food places in the Philippines.I say go for those food items. Not sure if it applies to the rest of the menu though. I am not a super fan of their lumpia shanghai but I have not really had one here in the Bay Area that suits what I am looking for. And though I have not tried it, my husband swears by the fried chicken that he all had to himself.
