A great place to have a taste of the Orient without travelling too far from home.

It used to be mu favorite restaurant in Vacaville. For some reason the changed the recipes and the food has become bland and americanized. The chili oil is not spicy anymore, same for the cucumber salad. Food is decent but not as good as it was.

Loved, loved, loved the shanghai noodles, it's got a smoky taste to it. The garlic sause is phenomenal. I also came back and had it with shrimp. OUTSTANDING! They give you lots. It's a small restaurant, but it starts winding down after 1:30 p.m. (doing the week) They make you pay 1st, at the counter, then if a seat is available, they hold it with a number sign.

siomai was so good…But the best was the service, an elderly couple came in and they both looked unsure on how to order, the male cashier approached them and asked them to have a seat and instead of making them stand in line to order, they served the elderly couple from their table. Very rare nowadays to see this and to see this from a very young man was very impressive. These 2 male cashiers’ parents should be very proud to have amazing kids and the owner of this location should be very blessed to have these kids. More power!

First time here. Food was good. The young man taking our order was rushing us. We let him know we needed a couple minutes. This is our first time and we'd like to look at the menu. He was a little pushy. The place was a little crowded, but I think it's just because it's a small building. I would definitely order from here again, but probably as a pick up order .

I have been to 88 Bao Bao numerous times and been happy. But the last two times have made me decide to not return. I usually get shrimp dumplings , shanghai chow mein and stir fried rice noodle. The chow mein is always greasy so I soak up the grease with a paper towel before serving. I historically love the fried rice noodle. However i served it to my daughter before I had some and she got very ill with food poisoning. I obviously threw the rest out. I decided to try it the last time I went and ordered a double order of shrimp dumplings. I was not sure they got the order as they never confirmed it. When I got there they gave me the order and said i had ordered pork and shrimp dumplings. Since we don't eat pork I was upset and asked to change to shrimp dumplings. I was told that no I could not and with a smile the guy said thank you. So basically I spent over 20.00 on dumplings I could not eat. My daughter and I both tried one and they tasted like they had rubber inside. So had to throw out. My rice noodles that usually have a mixture of egg, etc.. was only noodles. Very very bland and tasteless. I also ended up throwing that out. Not at all like I usually get. The chow mein was fine. Anyway very sad to have to tell this place goodbye. Obviously do not care about the customer.

My favorite dumplings around! I bet everything on the menu is good but even though I've been here over a dozen times, I haven't tried that many dishes because I ALWAYS insist on getting the same thing: pork Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) and wontons in chili oil. And of course, the cucumber salad is a perfect accompaniment. Food is super fresh, it's really fun watching the assembly line of dedicated dumpling makers hand-making all the dumplings. I don't know if their other locations are as popular but this is a small outpost and it can get quite busy so they have a very particular but efficient seating system. If eating in, you wait in line to order first, then they assign you a table, then bring out your order as each dish is ready. However, the staff is friendly, the service is prompt, and the food comes out quickly. And the sauces are pretty addictive too. (Though recently we noticed the ratio of chili:oil of the table chili oil has changed and the cucumbers were cut differently.) Please don't change anything, 88 Bao Bao, everything is perfection!

The green beans were the best thing here and service sucks. As I was walking in one of the staff members pushed open the door almost hitting me, but I ignored it. Everything here is over priced and would not recommend it to anyone really, there are better spots a couple miles down.

Food tonight was not on point, very oily. In fact, the seasoning jars on the table were also pretty oily, disgusting, sticky, icky mess! This is our second time eating here. First time was really good and much cleaner
