Best sushi in Vacaville, hands down! The fish tastes so fresh every time. The sauces and sushi combos are delicious. Hidden gem of VV. Definitely give it a try! My faves are the Ayame, Pink Lady, and Summer Rolls.

Great place for sushi and fun staff. Came for a birthday lunch and had a blast. They do need umeboshi, shiso, and natto rolls though for true Japanese kids.

Ayame has stayed consistent year after year. The quality of the fish here is unparalleled when comparing local sushi joints. Sure, you can find AYCE spots in town but the quality of the fish is sub par so you need to weigh out if you're looking for quantity or are you looking for quality? The miso soup isn't anything to write home about. Same goes for the side salad. But the sashimi is generously and expertly cut and it's why I come here. Service can be hit and miss. I love the quirkiness of the staff but it can sometimes be a while until you're noticed when you come in. To avoid this situation, it's best to sit up at the bar if you're willing. The ambience here is overall intentionally understated. The owner rather focus on quality food than instagramable decor. Seats are comfortable, functional, and things are kept clean. Otherwise, it's what you'd expect from a sushi spot.

Took the family here to eat and they served spoiled seaweed salad. The sashimi fish wasn't fresh and slimy and not firm and the pieces weren't even cut all the way. In the rolls the rice is too sweet like eating candy. First time eating there and it will be our last. Hope none of the family members get sick from the food.

This is a down to Earth spot and the rice is really top tier in my humble opinion. Get them dragon balls they are güd and chill out while you're there.

As a sushi fanatic, it is my duty to try any sushi place that is recommended to me. So when my sister spoke highly of this place, I was game. We placed a to go order of different things for me to try. When I picked up the order, the owners greeted me kindly and were lively and sociable. I can tell they put an effort in getting to know their customers in a genuine way. One of them even brought my to go order to my car since it was a big one. So all in all, the service was superb. Girlyman - The restaurant does not PLAY with this roll. This is the signature roll of the restaurant, and it absolutely delivers. The Girlyman is a perfect balance of flavors, and the sauce is absolutely heaven. Beautiful decoration as well. Bake Scallop - This roll takes a standard California Roll and adds its own twist by adding scallops and spicy mayo to elevate it. Saucy, pure deliciousness. Other things I've gotten are the Salmon Pizza Roll and Salmon Donburi. Both really good as well. Looking forward to returning to this place!

I have been here multiple times in the past and it was pretty good. I went today and it was disappointing. Edamame was semi cold. Miso soup was gross and tasted watered down. The sushi rolls were bland and the sushi didn't taste as fresh as before. I don't think il be coming back here.

Lacking in customer service. Also had another family member come here and the waitress assumed she didn't know how to use chopsticks and mentioned dining and ditching to a table full of Black people. Also took forever to seat then. Very uncomfortable.
