Good fresh seasonal food. A bit expensive for area and what comes to your table. Good craft cocktails from a non partake person. I was actually impressed. Need another not so rushed, non high weekend to really see the vibe/culinary experience. Enjoyed my time.

First time at this location for Backdoor Bistro. The setting is very nice. Food was delish. Service was excellent
I made reservation for 2 for Saturday lunch and was pleased with table they saved for us though, they were quite busy. I told them it was my friend's birthday in the reservation and they came through with a nice complimentary dessert and candle.
The restaurant is a little pricey, but for a special occasion, it was worth it.

Brought visiting friends for dinner and to experience my new town. I had told friends this was the best resuaurant in town yet that night BackDoor Bistro was Ghost Town empty. It was a ho hum experience ...

I love Backdoor Bistro, and please know this review is not easy for me to write. I know there are off days but really want to share. We had reservations at 10 AM. We were the only ones inside, a few outside, and we didn't get our food until 10:45. Truly. The service was really slow. Additionally, the food had different quality or taste from what we had previously for brunch (we order the same thing each time). The poached eggs were very poached, almost hardened in the middle, which compromised the eggs benedict. Also, there was only a very small “poached” egg for the two short rib hash orders for the others, and was also more on the overly poached side. We still love it here but had a very different experience from what we're used to from quality to service. Thank you for taking our feedback.

Our server was excellent and food too!! We have dined there multiple times and always have great experiences! I highly recommend this spot! By the way ask for table 5 or 10😀

We sat outside, the inside was loud and hard to hear. The patio was pleasant. Our server was attentive and asked if we had any questions about the menu. We were celebrating a birthday and we were wished Happy Birthday by both the hostess and the server, which was very nice. We had the pork belly tacos, which were delicious and baked Brie, as an appetizer, also very good. After our lunch, the birthday celebrate was given a birthday dessert that was delicious. Overall a very nice experience.

Prices over rated Shrimp and grits. Shrimp were tough. The group had different dishes. It was just ok. For the price we paid ridiculous

We always get great service at BackDoor and love their food selection. Best restaurant in Vacaville, by far! The dining area is intimate and open. Because the room is small you hear the bartender mixing drinks all the time and my wife has quite sensitive hearing. If we want a quieter dinner we love their patio, but that can be quite warm in the summer.

Our go to spot downtown. Always great staff and service. Great food no matter what you order. I only wish they brought back the lamb sliders and the biscuits and gravy. Two of our favorites

This place is awesome , clean and provided great service and food. Quaint lil spot off the main downtown strip. Menu was good as well. I would go back and definitely recommend to others.

The food for me was delicious. I had the shrimp and grits. The mixture of flavors was delightful, the tomatoes playing against the slight heat of the spices. The feta is a great touch.
The shrimp was fantastic, soft, flavorful, and very fresh.
It is a little noisy as it is a small dining area and the walls are bare.

My wife didn't like the lamb saying it was too raw and didn't taste enough like lamb.
I liked it.

First time there, and my husband and I enjoyed the food as well as Joe's excellent service.

Nice business lunch here. Parking was difficult as the lot next door was under construction. We both ordered the salmon protein bowl - very good. They let us stay as long as we wanted.

Always have a great experience and never disappoints when it comes to the food and drinks .Dominica the waitress is always serves us and she is amazing! We go their once a week.
