It’s been a while since I have been to L&L Hawaiian BBQ because there are other places in town that have better service. They never have great service here, no bad service, just take your order and call your number when it’s done. They have a fairly big menu and each L&L that I have been to offers extras that are not traditional Hawaiian dishes such as Chinese and/or Filipino dishes. They also offer catering packs for your parties. The food here is generally good. My go to is the BBQ Mix Plate ($16.25 as of 8/22/2025): Hawaiian BBQ Beef, Chicken, Short Ribs, Mac Salad, 2 scoops of Rice which is a good amount of food, so most people will have some leftovers. Their flavor of their meat was not as flavorful this visit as I have had in the past (not sure if it is just this one instance) and the overall portion does seem slightly less than I remember.

I would describe this place as a semi-Hawaiian Fast Food Restaurant. Expect no frills and no thrills here, just a good heaping of food for the price. They are a solid 3.5/5 stars overall.

It was hot inside, I was happy to have my order to go. Nice flavor, could of used more soy sauce. It was to go and I did not ask for extra. Rice and vegetables were good and cooked well ?

The only reason it gets 3 stars is because the food was excellent.
Service was terrible. This is a walk up counter ordering only location. The Manager was also our cashier, and he chose to carry on a conversation with someone via his wireless ear bud while taking our order. He missed half of our specifications and we had to repeat the order a few times.
There was not one clean and washed table in the whole place. Fair warning, this is the experience they offer, but they'll still ask for tips.

I actually like most L&L Hawaiian BBQ. This one seemed like an odd collection of Asian cuisine... and some Hawaiian BBQ. My chicken was cold. My friend's orange chicken (yes, orange chicken) had an odd greenish yellow tinge to it - not really orange. I'm not sure how his tasted, but my lunch was just fine, though cold

The counter service was grumpy and matter of fact... which is fine, I guess...

I will not return, especially since there are some much better places nearby in the same shopping center.

We had the L & L app. In the app, we had a promotional item or welcome gift. But the cashier said that the owner told him that they don't redeem these here. And it's a chain store.

Mac salad is good. Teriyaki chicken was not. Their sauce is very thin and closer to just soy sauce. They don’t sear the chicken enough either. Rice wasn’t great, just not very sticky. Could have just been an off day for the rice but I wouldn’t eat the teriyaki chicken here. Other items could be ok, but to me the teriyaki chicken is the main dish at these places and needs to stand out for me to even try the other options.
