I just finished having a great lunch at Mary's. I have been a faithful Mary's customer for roughly 15-20 years when the closest location to Davis was in Fairfield. There has never been an Italian restaurant in Davis that has come close to Mary's. Until the Dixon location closed I went there.

We have been eating at Mary's for years and we love it. My friends even tease me because they all know my "special order." I'll start with saying the bread is good, we love to dip it in the ranch. The Mary's salad with the cheese and salami and all the stuff is very tasty. My most favorite thing is the Gnocchi. I get the Meatball on the side with red sauce and get the creamy pesto sauce on the Gnocchi. YUM! My husband likes the pigs in a blanket, funny I know but its a beef hotdog, mozzarella wrapped in pizza dough. My boys get he pepperoni pizza every time. And my youngest daughter is happy they even have a gluten free pasta option.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free Options Available
I decided to go to this location to grab something to eat. I was seated quickly by someone at the front. The waitress was attentive and very nice. My only complaint was with the bathroom. The sink I used wasn't draining properly. Seemed like it was clogged.

Took the family out for dinner Wednesday night. 6 of us. Service was very slow. Salad were tiny for the price. Not much on them at all. Pizza was slightly burnt. Bread was cold. Chicken Parmesan was also way over cooked. I had not been in the restaurant in awhile but I won’t be back. For the price the portions were lunch size at best. $35 for a pizza that was charred. Not a fan

Arrived right after they opened and the hostess greeted us promptly. Our server Arianna was equally attentive and friendly. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and beers on tap. The whole experience was very enjoyable and we will definitely be back very soon.Kid-friendliness: Kids can make their own pizza

Great personality, responsive, and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. The ability to cater and understand our needs was exceptional! The best meatballs around, they did not short us on the toppings. Always appreciate a delicious pizza without being over charged like other pizza places.

We love Mary’s. My daughter and I came here a couple weeks ago, and our server was so friendly and attentive that my daughter and I both commented on it how wonderful she was (young, dark hair, sad I don’t remember her name). My daughter, who also works at a restaurant, was so impressed that we left about a 30% tip.Fast forward to tonight… our hostess was very pleasant and let us know that Brooke would be our server and would be with us shortly. Brooke came to our table, no pleasantries, and asked if we were ready to order. I told her what we’d like to drink, and ordered a pizza, salad, and breadsticks. Everything was brought out on time, and tasted great. It was off putting that she just seemed like she didn’t care to help us, not that she was too busy, just that she didn’t care. When she brought the pizza, she didn’t bring or offer new plates, or ask if we needed anything, drink refills, nothing. The girls wanted ranch, so we flagged her down. One or two slices into the pizza she brought our check, again no asking if we needed anything, if we’d be ordering dessert, just a check. She never came back so we asked how she wanted us to pay. She asked if we wanted a box, we said no. Then she started offering up suggestions as to how she likes her pizza… cool, would have been a great suggestion when we were ordering. We paid, and were sitting there talking while the girls drank their sodas. She started offering them to-go sodas, we declined, and then asked if she could at least start clearing the table (with a bussing cart pulled right next to the table). Not in a friendly let me get this out of your way manner… but now it was clear this was about her watch. I just couldn’t wrap my head around how she was so unpleasant! At the end of dinner, yes, we were the only ones left In the restaurant so I get that she wanted to leave, but come on, she was rude from the beginning. I will be back, but will ask for a different waitress if I am ever seated in her section again. Kudos to the rest of the staff for doing your jobs well.

Let’s me preface this review by stating that the food is delicious and I’m sure the employees are working to keep up with orders, both online and in person. However, this is the second time that I’ve visited this restaurant, and each time I along with others behind me were not acknowledged in a timely manner. One couple walked out. I was there to pick up an order. With this being said, a simple acknowledgement that we’ll be right with you would go along way.
I like to go to pick it up, but I was really tired. They were very helpful on the phone about delivery and the meatballs were great…thank you!!!—

So I've been to Mary's pizza shack numerous times. Maybe it's because I went too early, but the place was dead. (I just remember the place always being crowded.) However, the staff was courtesous, and professionals. The hot dog in the blanket and split pea soup killed it. Honestly. I would recommend going to Mary's.

We had a group of 43 women and 3 children in the patio seating on Sunday afternoon and we had the most awesome waitress (Alexis) who handled our large group with such easy, patience, calmness, and with a great attitude. It’s not easy to manage such a large group and she did an amazing job!Thank you Alexis for making our visit so enjoyable!

Unfortunately not a good experience,Food arrived but no silverware. When we asked for silverware they arrived after 5 min.No one came back to our table even to refill the glass of water… not ever to ask us if we want a second beer which is a money making thing for a restaurant.Food was of… pizza a little salty.Too expensive… I can compare the prices with the Evelyn’s in Fairfield it is much more expensive here.Spaghetti with giant meatball was good but expensive. I would price it to 13 dollars… 19.50 is way too much for the place and the service. It took us a while to pay. Not good guys.SOS TO THE OWNERNot sure if there is any management on the clock here
