I love the Calamari steak at this restaurant! Its the best I have ever have!Their food is consistently good. I did have one order a couple of months ago that was lacking, but I talked to the Manager and he resolved the issue. I have been going there for many years and I recommend this establishment!

What a let down. Used to come here two or three times a month. Then moved out of area. We were back today really looking forward to a good dinner. This place has gone down the tubes. Service was slow and only half full. Ordered fillets and they were over cooked. Waiter said they would fix. On the 2nd steak, they were cooked worse! We got an extremely over cooked hokey puck for our filets. Manager didn't really say much other than "I'm not sure what's going on in the kitchen" and offered to comp the meal which was inedible anyway. Sad to see this once really good restraunt go down hill so badly. You guys lost some regular customers.

Stopped in for the usual lunch, fish & chips.They were out of fish ?.I had Sierra Mountain Dip and my wife ordered a Mushroom Burger.The dip was a perfect blend of French Dip & Philly Cheese Steak (thin sliced Tri-Tip, just enough cheese to not be gooey, peppers & onion, very tasty Au-Jus).As my Wife was eating her burger a mushroom fell out, I stole it, it tasted like it had been smoked. When she started filling up, she let me have a bite.I don't remember a better burger ever, wood fired, great texture, juicy.Short story long...Tahoe Joe's is now my favorite burger place.

Have to downgrade it a little. Last time I went there, years ago, it seemed a bit more upscale. Now its like going to Dennys or Blackbear diner with a larger $$$ tag. The food was ok and our server was really nice and attentive.

Sat in the bar for early dinner and service was excellent. Food, though delayed, was very tasty. Steak sandwich was marvelous and the bacon wrapped shrimp also great. The fries were well seasoned and crisp too. Took home a slice of their chocolate cake for later and was very large and scrumptious.Definitely recommend you try them out!

The wait to get in was little long but worth it.. the food was delicious and we are taking home left overs. Patricia was our server and she was amazing. Super accommodating with our side choices. She accidently brought the wrong soup and we ended up 2 soups, they were both delicious. Would definitely come back and ask for Patricia.

Usually service is great, however this time service was poor. If they had been busy I might understand but it wasn't busy. Wrong salad was brought out, No dressing on the salad and I asked for no croutons. Had to ask twice for water. The baked potato was hard and cold, the Joe's steak was more like a pot roast but taste was good. Gave or server my card for payment and it took 20 min before he came back. I still provided a tip however won't return anytime soon.

On this special occasion Tahoe Joe's was chosen for the birthday man's steak dinner. The steak was perfectly prepared!! A++ for that!! They were not stocked with all our requests but not to worry. We had a terrific server...Kate, who provided good humor and suggestions for best meal choices. She had the whole table laughing throughout our visit. We so enjoyed our time there!! Guess who got a huge tip tonight?!!

Burnt food all the way around. Dry steaks. Super small sizes. They messed up the peoples food next to us as well. The head chef just started from mc donalds. Dont get me wrong im happy he got a better job but the staff has no experience and it shows alooot.
Got the 10 oz. Joe's steak cooked medium. Haven't had a steak that tender in a looooong time.

Our server was awesome. The food was good and plentiful. The calamari was like chicken fried squid - in a good way. I would definitely eat here again.

There was a 40 minute wait. The service was good for it being shorthanded. The steak and mashed potatoes were good. The green beans were rubbery. Wanted to order dessert but was told the chocolate cake was frozen so we were unable to get it.Wanted to add that they do have temporary operating hours and close earlier than listed. Call ahead for accurate hours.
