I ordered a piece of fish they use cod. The fish was very fresh. Big pieces of fish. Perfect amount of breading to fish ratio. Flaky and crispy 👌 also got the hush puppies which were ok. But fish is definitely great and im comming back for sure. Also 15 dollars for huge piece of fish, fries and 8 hush-puppies is a pretty good deal in my book. The owner/lady at front is very nice as well.
It is hard,at least for me to find good fish and chips these days but Tugboat does a pretty good job.The fries are pretty good but the fish to me is good and I'm not a seafood eater.Tugboat fish and chips is the only fish that I eat.Someone who eats a lot of fish may know of a better place but for an occasional fish eater like myself,Tugboat suits me just fine.The owner is pretty nice as well.

As for my opinion... I'd give it 1 star across the board. The fish is very bland and everything is over fried. If you don't request LIGHTLY fried it's going to be overly done.
They charge $6.99 for Hush Puppy's now, and a super tiny coleslaw is almost $5. I can go down the street to Sharky's Chicken and Fish and get several varieties of flavorful fish and sides...
