To call what they sell Mexican food is an affront. As much as I hate to give a poor review to this historic establishment, longstanding history cannot make up for bad food. We ordered the carne asasa and carnitas burritos. Both were wrapped in a “homemade tortilla,” which was a crumbly, dry, doughy, flatbread- not remotely tortilla-like. The meat inside was more like middle school cafeteria stewed meat from the 1970s. The burrito toppings were subpar as well- greasy refried beans and pico de gallo.

Have been coming to Vasquez deli for over 30 years and they never disappoint. The good is consistently good. We live in New York State now so only get here once a year. When we do come this is definitely one of the stops.

Vasquez is always delicious. I live in Nevada. Anytime I come to Vacaville, Ca. I stop at Vasquez to get a burrito. The food and staff are great. They are a well established business in the community. If your hungry and a burrito is what you need. Vasquez makes theirs with homemade tortillas. It reminds me of my moms cooking. Always good, always prepared fresh, and so good you can't wait to come back.
This place is a town treasure and has been a personal family favorite since I was a child. I don't live in Vacaville anymore, but every time I find myself passing through, I always stop for a taste of home.
Vegetarian options: They offer a veggie burrito, bean and cheese burrito, and quesadillas.
Dietary restrictions: Last I checked, they will make you a keto plate if you ask for it!
