Apparently they changed their management and their menu and food has changed. They no longer offer Dinner Specials like before, everything is a la carte. That’s really the only reason I got take out from them because their dinner specials were such a great deal. Guess I have to find a new Chinese food spot…

What a tremendous disappointment. I was able to get past the fact that they were closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays since they made amazing Egg Foo Young. I was able to get past the fact that they wouldn't serve me a glass of water while I waited for my order which was close to $50, (she told me I could purchase a bottle of water), because they made amazing Egg Foo Young. But in February, I was told they took Egg Foo Young off the menu. No explanation. So even though I made 12 orders of Egg Foo Young from mid-December til the end of January, they removed it from their menu. So I will no longer be going to Golden Chopsticks. I will never understand why they were so determined to alienate their customers.

They have changed all the food two weeks ago. Everything is terrible. It went from a solid eight to a three. This was the same as panda express may be a little worse. On top of that they messed up my order when I repeated multiple times specific instructions. I hope the old owners have a new location.

I know the place is under a new owner and this is my first time getting takeout from them in general. The food was very hot when I picked up. I only got orange chicken and fried rice because it's just me eating for dinner. I wish there was a dinner combo. Additionally, I would like if there were some things in the fried rice aside from a tiny bit of scrambled egg, some frozen peas and carrots with a bit of onion would do the trick. Flavor of the orange chicken is great. Making the rice more interesting would keep me coming back. I'll come again and try different things.

Called today to discover that new management has taken over. RIP to the most consistently good Chinese place in the valley! Removing the dinner combo from the menu is a deal breaker for how much they want to charge. Huge bummer.

Not good at all. I'm so disappointed and certainly do not plan on returning. A friend and I have met at this restaurant as a halfway point, several times, for the last 10 years. Unfortunately, we didn't make it back there after Covid until now. I realize many things changed because of it, but I didn't ask much because we didn't feel welcomed. The first red flag was that they didn't serve tea anymore, what? Then we asked for water with a lemon slice, and they don't have lemon either. Ok... so we tried the beef and broccoli, and talk about lazy or sloppy- the chunks of broccoli were huge, and of course only a few pieces of beef. Very lousy experience, considering it was previously one of our favorites . It must be a new owner, because when we asked to use the restroom just before leaving, the smart aleck young lady told us we couldn't. We never had a problem with the employees who were there before, so nice. This one had the worst manners and attitude, but what did we expect for a teenager who spent the entire time staring at her phone and didn't once come over to ask how things were, etc. We all be served ourselves and might have expected just a tad better customer service, being that we were the only ones in there for a whole 2 hours. My friend was kind enough to leave a decent tip, and I'm not a cheapskate, but this place does not deserve it.

This was the 1st restaurant I visited when I moved to Valley Village in 2002. It's been a favorite ever since. It's no surprise it's lasted the test of time. House Special Chicken for the win!

So sad to see such a great restaurant spiral downhill. Last time I ordered from this restaurant, was about 8 years ago. Zero pride in their quality, bad service and equally bad atmosphere dining in. Frozen food galore.

Small, low-key spot with friendly service. I got the House Special Beef which was very tasty.

Food was good, portions are bigI had leftovers for the next day. Ordered take out and it was ready in 15mins. Beef broccoli was good, so was the mix chow mein. 4 stars only because I had ordered a large kung pao shrimp and the order only had about 8 shrimps and the rest was veggies. The plate weighed about 5lbs full of sauce and veggies and 8 shrimps. The portion is meant for 3 people.

Overall great dinner experience. Ordered online for pickup. Ready in 20m as promised. Excellent customer service from the young lady who answered my first time customer questions. Ordered vegetarian items: orange tofu (with real orange peel and juice in the sauce), garlic broccoli and vegetable chow mein. Very generous portions of everything including the white rice that came with the veg and tofu entrees. Enjoyed my hot mustard & sweet and sour. My feedback is I wish their menu had a vegetarian soup option and some additional full vegetarian ready set dinners when online ordering (replacing the soup).

Umm, excuse me delicious! Looked up a spot we could take my diabetic MIL to an impromptu dinner. The 4 star star rating sells it short. It looked like they were doing take out only on this hot Sunday but they allowed us to sit to eat. Everything was piping hot and fresh. We got a shrimp and vegetable plate for the MIL, combo fried rice and mixed mushu plate (not many places have mushu). So happy! Good portions and a friendly server too. We'll be back next time the MIL wants to go out to eat shrimp which is every time.
