I'm going to update the review below after I return. The manager very kindly replied to my review. I'll update my review after I go back to Bright Spark.Original review:Our family of four went out to dinner on a Sunday night in March 2024 at Bright Spark Brewing. We spent $100 for two sandwiches, one personal size pizza, one order of fish and chips, a Coke and a beer (including tip). It was a mixed bag. The Hazy IPA was good, and my wife and our boys thought their food was good. I ordered the fish and chips, which were listed as coming with a "house made pineapple cole slaw." Sounds delicious, right? There was no pineapple, or any pineapple at all, in the slaw. I expect that a server will come around after delivering food to ask how everything was. That person never came by. I took the slaw up to the service counter, and the guy in the kitchen was pretty grumpy about me bringing up the no pineapple. He told me there was no pineapple in the kitchen, but that the slaw had pineapple juice in it. That was not true. He offered me some pineapple juice, and when I accepted, he got even grumpier and went hunting for a can. He eventually found it, but it was obvious by his quest that there was no pineapple juice in the kitchen when they made my slaw. I don't think a restaurant should list an item, and allow people to order it, which they are not currently serving. Finally, although there was a foosball table, the bartender told my son that 'some kids stole the balls a while ago,' and he was 'out of luck.' Huh? Uh, Amazon sells those. Get some new balls, Bright Spark. Will we go back? I'm open to it. We'll see what response I get to this review. It's tough to spend a hundred bucks and not get what you ordered, then get poor service on top of it.

As REALTORS, my wife and I have hosted and attended several events here. It's a fantastic event space with plenty of parking and great service. The food is also very good, and there are vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. The beer is good too!

Shawarma fries are legitimately craveable; I could get anything else but I love them. Pizzas are amazing, beer is great, wine selection is nice, ciders are available and I love Mel ❤️Kid-friendliness: Games, books and activities

What a joyful place! We loved the food, the balcomb canyon hard cider, the big tables where people were playing cards and games, and all the wonderful dogs who came in.

DO. GO. HERE. They are everything you’d dream of a brewery, local business, happy hour, and more.Third visit and everything we’ve eaten has been fire. Hitting happy hour with a seasonal menu for the first time and it’s too good.Loving the saison. Local natural wine too, so there’s something for everyone.Friendliest crew. I’ve seen a private room birthday party that looked so laid back — like a comfortable living room extension. And they’ve got games and toys and books for a family friendly vibe. They do trivia on Wednesday and have a lively events calendar.

This is a pretty laid back brewery. They have games for customers to have game night which is pretty neat. Their food is good, especially their salad and pizza.

This is such a great new brewery in Ventura. There are lots of breweries in Ventura, but this one really stands out to me for being nice and large and amazing for kids while never feeling too busy or crazy. It has great food, everyone is nice @!$ the beer is really good.

Wow. What a delightful experience. The food was 10/10. The people were so genuinely kind. The restaurant was bright and clean. I felt so welcome with my loud, silly baby. I absolutely love this place. Thank you for filling our bellies with dank food, and filling our hearts with kindness.ALSO, sorry if TMI:After our long journey today, I wasn't prepared at all with feminine products. When I went to the bathroom with one of my baby's diapers as a last resort, I saw the wonderful, free "feminine product" machine and I wanted to cry. It felt like a tiny miracle. I was SO uncomfortable. Just the fact that they had this in the bathroom made my day. (AND the mission of the brand was beautiful) Thank you, thank you, thank you!! You have no idea how helpful and kind that is to have.

Bright Spark is still a hidden gem brewery located in the more industrial park of Ventura near Market and Telephone Rd. You would kind of have to be looking for it to know it's there as it easily blends in with the other businesses. Despite the location, this really is a fabulous brewery and restaurant in the 805.I found this spot because of a yelp event that was hosted at the end of 2023. I fell in love with the place because of the good food, fun drinks, and stellar service. Fast forward to January 2024 and I came back the a friend for a late lunch and relaxed vibes. I was happy to see on the weekend this spot had a good amount of customers. This place is growing in popularity which I am glad to see. We wandered up to the bar area and studied the menus. I will say this place has impressive alcohol and food menus. A much larger selection than some of the sister breweries in the area. I appreciate that not only do they have beer but they also have wine, ciders, and fun little semi premade cocktails. Also best Arnold Palmer for those who don't drink but want something to wet your whistle. The food menu ranges from pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, salads and plenty of fun appetizer tapas to choose from. The pizzas and chicken sandwich are fantastic. Also liked the hummus and dips a lot. The only dish so far that I wouldn't order again was the smash-burger - but even that is more a preference issue. It was a good burger, I just prefer cheddar/American yellow cheese to their white cheese and the patties weren't thin or crispy enough like traditional smash burger are but see what you think. My friend loved her Cesar salad and they have the "good fries here" = skinny freshly salted fries, yum!Staff are always super nice and welcoming. I'm a big fan of their mission and vision for this place. The owners are lovely and they hire nice helpful people. Your business is valued here and it keeps me coming back. Also pro tip I recently learned that they are dog friendly so that makes me happy! Bring your four legged friends or human companions and have yourself a good time.

Another Great fun experience and memory made here. Sunny and Kendra were the best and great customer service. They made the visit memorable and wish I could get great service like that everywhere I go. They rock. Also the atmosphere was perfect and I was comfortable. The restrooms were clean and working. I felt like I was at a fancy restaurant. The beer was flavourful and smooth. Loved each one I tried. They have all different types and something for everyone. Great beer, great service, great everything. Can't wait to go again. Keep up the great work Bright Spark Brewing.

No lie they have the best pizza in Ventura county. The Top Toppers easily, and the only fault is that they only come in personal size. Also the beer is great, and good atmosphere for

Went for it first time. They are a rare microbrewery with actual real food on site. They have merged a restaurant and a brewery. the menu had some really nice options (I think I saw at vegan options). We let the staff talk is into a Potato Dukkah Pizza. It was pretty great. The guild working there were friendly. Try their nut brown ale with a shot of the porter added (their suggestion). It was great. I tried 3 beers and they were all bueno. My wife prefers wine, and she liked their Cabernet. Trivia on Wednesdays I think they said.Give this place a try, I bet you come back.Pet friendlyVegetarian options: I think at least one of their pizzas was available as vegan.
