I love buddys! Such a cozy atmosphere, great wine selection and yummy food. This neighborhood gem is women owned and locally owned. Trivia on Tuesdays, reasonable wine club pricing, and yummy treats from awkward pastry chef (another local gem) this casual hangout can’t get better for a date or girls’ night out.

Went on a Tuesday night for trivia and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. Seating was horrendous — we spent a long time just trying to find a place for our party of four. Around 6:30, my boyfriend tried to order pizza, which is advertised as being available from 5–8, and was told they were no longer serving pizza THEY SHOULD SAY “while supplies last” If that’s the case. When he asked what other food options were available, he was told only pie or soft serve… which was confusing and frustrating because later on, my female friend ordered a sandwich (and honestly, it wasn’t great) and took a long time because their kitchen was set up for pizza only…. It was frustrating to see food suddenly be available after another person was told options were extremely limited. The inconsistency felt selective and poorly communicated. Overall, the service felt disorganized, and personally, I didn’t love the vibe — as a person of color, it didn’t feel very welcoming or inclusive, and the space seems geared toward a very specific crowd. There are much better wine bars in Ventura with better service and atmosphere, like Happy Accidents or The Livery. Unfortunately, this place just didn’t live up to expectations.
