There isn't a better croissant on the coast of California within 100 miles of Los Angeles, maybe further. The kouign-aman, if you are lucky enough to be there when they have it, is not to be missed. The coffee here is Italian style and exceptional.
My order is flat white and they know what it is and how to make it. The house made sodas are unique and always refreshing. I don't think there is a better loose leaf, made to order tea selection in town that I'm aware of.

Service sucks! It makes it a bad atmosphere. They need better workers. And it’s so damn hot in there, big need for air conditioning. Food is alright though, nothing crazy.

Ummm $8 dollars for a single cinnamon roll, got a cinnamon roll and three other small pastries and spent $30. I think it is really over priced. Just had a lobster pasta for dinner the night before, with amazing bread on Ojai for $30.

10 out of 10, do not pass this up. BY FAR the best pastries in town. they use grass fed butter and you can upgrade to A2 dairy in your coffee. I love sitting at the bar and interacting with the awesome staff. I don’t generally write reviews, but I came here to say: go to Butter&Fold if you’re craving a croissant. & be warned — you’ll be dreaming of the butter bread after the first bite.

The baked goodies were delicious, the coffee strong and rich. It is warm in the shop but probably due to the oven. Overall great lil shop.

Popped into Butter and Fold in Ventura this morning with my wife for breakfast, and we had a fantastic time! Despite some rough Yelp reviews slamming their matcha and baked goods, I’m so glad we gave it a shot. This place is super charming with a cozy French vibe that really sets the mood. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is perfect for a laid-back morning in this beach community.

The cappuccino was absolutely on point—like my Yelp friend Mickey said, they nailed it. The matcha latte was also excellent, especially hot, which brings out the flavor just right.

Yeah, it’s a small spot, but that only adds to its appeal. Don’t let the negative reviews scare you off—this is a great place for a morning coffee and a relaxing vibe. Definitely worth a visit!

We visited for the first time about a month ago and have already been back at least five times—we’re hooked! The pastries are incredible, especially the love knot and almond rolls. We’ve heard the cinnamon rolls are amazing too, but haven’t had the chance to try them yet—they sell out fast!

We really appreciate that the pastries have just the right touch of sweetness. The coffee is excellent as well; we usually go for a latte with maple syrup flavoring—so good!

The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the vibe is great—customers are clearly regulars and happy with their orders.

We’re officially lifelong fans. Love this place!
