Amazing place for Ventura. Atmosphere as if you are having a coffee and croissant somewhere in Paris. Everything is baked same day. Recommend 100%. Perfect for 1-2hrs of work, business meeting or a date.

Wonderful welcoming quaint spot for a unique blend of coffee options, and fresh bread selection, all made in house. Tried an apple peach ice coffee & was pleasantly surprised, it was subtle refined and just sweet enough to make it a treat to drink. My only quip, is the acoustics bounce off walls at this small shop, making the place very loud. No conversation is private, it’s hard to work here if you need to concentrate or require a mellow space.

Sadly, it looks so cute on the outside and felt cool when we walked in but that's where it stopped. Pastry was OK, not worth the ridiculous prices. Coffee was horrible. We ordered an Oatmilk latte and regular vanilla latte and couldn't even drink them. Absolutely no espresso flavor--was like drinking warm milk. Plus it took them almost 10 minutes (there was no one in line ahead of us) to make our coffee. We were completely done with the pastries when the coffee finally arrived. Staff wasn't overly friendly or helpful either. Would definitely pass on this place my next time through.

Incredible esthetic. Check out the lighting. Coffee insanely good.
Too loud. 2 small rugs on the floor, sound baffles under the table tops, and a few ceiling sound baffles would do wonders.

I finally tried Butter & Fold and I'm so glad I did! Absolutely delicious! I got a croissant, pain au chocolate, and an orange pastry. All were great, but the croissant was the best I've ever had! And I've had them in France. The service was also very good. They're a little expense, but you're paying for the quality work and ingredients. It's an indulgence that is worth it!

Man with ‘anteriograde amnesia' , like the guy from the Film 'memento ' attempts differnt teas and pastries on a whim. Remembers name of new friend' after failing to designate said Person w said Name., As no words are capable of remedying, i thought of posting a permanent 5 star review of this Establishment instead.

Excellent pastries. The loons who gave this place on star have no idea how a pastry should be baked. Not for the Dunkin’ Donut crowd.

Wasn't impressed with what I would assume were yesterdays croissants that were left out over night and the pricing really needs to be worked on because 3 pastries and a mocha for 23$ is pushing

Butter and Fold is FABULOUS. The team is welcoming, friendly and committed to the highest quality of food and drinks. I regularly enjoy croissants from Izola, in the east village of San Diego and voted the best croissant in 2022 by yelp AND B&F comes close to the same buttery interior and flaky exterior that makes a perfect croissant. Simply excellent croissants! I love them so much I haven’t tried their other pastries yet. As an espresso *snob* I appreciate that they always give great care to a perfectly calibrated shot. They are adventurous with the beans they use and it’s a delightful experience to try different roasters through B&F. The beautiful interior is relaxing and comfortable. GREAT JOB B&F!
