Ordered off GrubHub and pizza came cold. Reminded me of a frozen pizza even after reheating. Was very bland BBQ chicken and pepperoni pizzas. We used to really like CPK but seems like quality has gone down unfortunately. Also kind of overpriced for small pizzas.

I'm a top level frequent diner at CPK and find this location to be one of the best for food and service. Yeah it's in a so-so mall, but worth it for the food.

First time at Ventura location, I'm usually a Santa Barbara patron. one thing this property has over the SB location is their beer, chief peak ipa, so that earns the 1 star. everything else is worse than sb. made my usual order at happy hour pizza and beer for $6 and also an avocado egg roll starter. egg rolls temperature seemed off, not hot at all when they were delivered so made sure to handle those and didn't event touch the pizza. so 1 star loss there. didn't receive any napkins while the people next to me did and they didn't even have food yet, 1 star loss there. was ready to pay halfway thru my beer because I had multiple gift cards to use and based on my recent experience they sometimes have issues doing this. Nobody came by to take care of the bill. Eventually after 10 minutes of me waiting someone came by and I provided the promo cards. well I thought sb had issues, Ventura had issues to the nth degree! it took over 10 minutes trying to redeem a card for them to realize it was a bonus card. I specifically told the server it was for the food and I'd give her another gift card once she redeemed that one, plus the email I showed her clearly stated it was $20 promotional card. this is a card with expiration so of course I'd want to redeem that. I had used it twice in Santa Barbara for $7.50 each time, the cost of the egg rolls so I knew I had $5 left, they couldn't get it to work. 25 minutes later manager manually took $5 off. I gave him a physical gift card, which seemed to take a lot longer than it should have but that redeemed properly, and finally I provided an e gift card that got me the promotional cards. he took the receipts and said I was good. not so fast I want that receipt so I can fill it out and sign it, otherswise how do I know shennanigans won't take place and a large gratuity be filled in? after the time and effort I wasn't going to leave a cent. I made sure to take a photo of the receipt just in case and thankfully the e gift card does update the balance so I've got a screenshot of that in case of any funny business. 2 star loss for the time hassle. I did do the survey on the receipt which turns out to be the same survey that Deborah m lists in the generic replies, so no need to post the link if you reply to me and perhaps it wont be a generic response either.

20 bucks for a freezer store personal size pizza, I didn't even use my own money for this I used a gift card so I only spent 24 minutes of my life waiting for this thing.Give me back my 24 minutes man.

Tonight I tried something different for dinner and it wasn't disappointing it was a great place I sat at the bar, had me a strawberry lemonade which was great order me a small barbecue chicken pizza bite size boneless wings and the street corn and watch the chef master Francisco do his thing my server Marissa was absolutely amazing.. and that only comes from great leadership the general manager Beronica must be proud of the team she has because they took pride in their restaurant and with their service if you are anywhere near Ventura Mall Stop in to this California Pizza Kitchen it's probably the best decision I made today.

Service was not good and they wouldn’t let us take the left over bottle of wine (which we had paid for) home. Very disappointing.

We have been going to CPK restaurant in Ventura by Pacific mall for over 20 years. My father-in-law always ordered a bottle of red wine. The server would open the bottle of red wine and pour it in a glass. At the end of dinner, the server would put the cork back in the bottle for us to take home. this has been our routine for 20 years. Last November, the server served the bottle of wine already opened. When after dinner, my father-in-law requested the cork to take home what is left in the bottle, the server said it is against the rule. We complained to the manager, and she said it is against the California law. We were surprised as this has been our routine for 20 years. We didn't get charged for the bottle. But what was very unprofessional is when my father-in-law was about to drink the remaining wine in the glass, the server took the glass and said he didn't pay for it. Ther servers and manager, Beronica, we had encountered before were very professional and provided us with the best service. But the server and manager we had last November ruined everything. We used to go to CPK in Ventura every week and would even have our big family gathering there. But after this unruly experience, we will never go there again.

Another great spot to go to for many different occasions. Food always tends to be well presented and made. The atmosphere is very nice, even despite being connected to the mall. Every once in while there will be a bad server experience as it seems like they are often understaffed, but management usually offers to make up for it in some capacity.

This particular location needs a new manager. Salvador, the one working the shift when we dined lacks professionalism. Our booth was 3-4 steps away from the kitchen where he was running the line. He never once greeted us and when our food arrived at the table there was a hair in my salad. Other waitress walked it over to him literally 3 steps away. He looked at it and never approached our table to even apologize. I changed my order to a pizza because I couldn't look at a salad after seeing the hair let alone eat it. The waitress was great and apologized. The manager, however, never said a word, never offered an apology and only approached our table with the final bill.
