We have enjoyed dinner at this restaurant a number of times. We had a friend visiting from out of town and last Saturday we decided to visit Ventura and eat at Capriccio. The staff was great. The bread was delicious. My fettuccine with sausage was good. There were a few uncooked tomato slices, I removed them. My husband had spaghetti with tomatoes and basil. He enjoyed it. Our friend ordered eggplant parm, her favorite Italian dish. It looked great, but the eggplant was thick and uncooked. She couldn't chew it. I tried it, I couldn't chew it. The waitress was gratuitous and took it back. My friend opted for a fried calamari plate. That also arrived undercooked. I also tried it and couldn't chew it. She was unable to eat it. I offered to speak with the manager, but my friend asked me not to. 2 out of 3 dinners were edible. The bread and the drinks were very good. I'm hoping it was just an off day, but it was very disappointing.

I came here on a valentines date with a friend. The food was delicious! And the portions were hefty. I had enough to take for lunch the next day. I had the salmon with risotto and vegetables, the salmon was delicious and I really enjoyed my vegetables and even how well they held up the next day. The ambiance was very intimate, and it was nice to sit by the window and watch people outside. They dont have any mixed drinks, only wine. But the wine list is extensive.

This place is my favorite! The food is so fresh and I love their pizza! I will not eat any other pizza in the Ventura area but theirs. Staff is always nice and service is on point.
Pasta are good but pizza dough could be better.Desserts are not homemade.

We had dinner here Friday night. Service was very good. A very sweet server. The food was disappointing. The bread and oil had no flavor. The dinner salad was far behind. Good size dinner salad, we ordered two pizzas and honestly I would compare them to store bought. I'm Italian so it was a bit annoying. It's hard to find good Italian!

Lasagna was absolutely terrible it had zero pasta some meat and 95% glob of cheese, I kept digging to find the meat and pasta under 3/4" thickness of cheese. When we told the waitress, my reply was well can't do anything about it looks like you ate 50% of it. I said no there is nothing but cheese to eat. Terribly slow service under staffed and noise. Not well organized on customer care.
