I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the negative reviews but we had a great visit to the CA zoo. Lots of animal sightings, well kept facilities and friendly and engaging staff and volunteers. My little nephews loved the playground! The animalsseemed well cared for.

Arrived at Discovery on a Thursday night at 6:45pm, fully aware of the hours of operation since I checked online and calling to listen to the hours open, and the place was completely dark. According to the website and recording they should have been open at 5pm. There was no sign explaining a reason for not being open for the day. The hours need to be updated so that people don’t drive out of their way and find out it’s closed.

Really cool layout. All in one entertainment spot. Dance at night with live music. 9 bowling lanes. A few videos games. Liquor and beer with a good selection. Patio over looking Main Street. Good spot to start the day.

Awesome all ages venue to see good music live! Took my son and his friends to see punk legends Agent Orange.

I've always been treated very well by the staff at Discovery. If an artist you like books an outdoor show there definitely see them there... like having a private backyard concert, especially with VIP seating.

This place is one of very few places in ventura for all ages to enjoy live music. Great entertainment, food and drinks, and bowling. The people that go there are a happy crowd, casual type. You can dress up or down.. I ordered a good time and that's what I got. Service is great and friendly.

We came to see Twisted Gypsy. But the night started out very rocky and got worse. The server changed the menu on us twice. The vegetarian options we chose, twice, changed to only one choice and it was horrible. Greasy, soggy chips with an over abundance of Beyond Beef, and something they called cheese to make up the worst nachos anyone could ever make. The fries were good but we never could stop the waitress to get us, ranch dressing or more katsup. Utensils, napkins and water took over an hour...after we were done eating. We watched the waitress walk by 5 times. Then we listened to people at two other nearby tables complain about not being able to order quesadilla because the server switched our menus but another table was able to order it. Very poorly run kitchen and bar. Fries arrived 19 minutes after ordering and the nachos arrived 61 minutes later (42 minutes after the fries). The well drink my wife ordered was butchered. The local Ventura draft beer was flavorful and cold. The sound system and lighting was good so we were able to enjoy the music--which is what we were there to see...although someone worked on the fog machine for half of the performance and finally got it working.
