Visiting from out of town and took a pit stop to grab their Ventura Cali Burritos. This is one of those meals that I'll be talking about for years--I took it to go and the food didn't get the chance to leave the building. I'm not kidding, I housed it. Jessie was also very kind and hospitable, even made sure to get us some water when we talked about our long drive. I'd move here just to be a regular! Lol

Ordered online for pick up. Charged an online fee for that. Fine. But have the food ready. Didn't make the food until I got there asking for my order which made me late to where I was going. No conversation about it, just like I'm supposed to deal with it because you already have my money. What's the point?! Wasn't even crowded seeing as the two people sitting already had their food so it surely wasn't a back up in the kitchen. As far as the food, I could only eat half my order of burrito since it was absurdly salted. So total waste of my time and money here. I'll be avoiding even if it's just down the street I work on.

EDIT: I received a phone call from the owner indicating that is not their standard and he was overly apologetic. Supplied a refund and wanted a second opportunity to be my nearby burrito spot. So I am moving to 3 stars until I go try their food again. Gotta give them kudos for taking initiative and reaching out personally. Not a lot of businesses do that.

Had a breakfast burrito with chorizo this morning that was just terrible. All beans and rice that were ok. Some fried bits of mystery meat, I couldn’t make out what it was. Then a scoop of sour cream and lettuce. The salsas were ok. Had to toss it out, paid over $15.00.

I got a carnitas burrito today. To go... got home Took a couple bites and ran into this stuff, pretty much the hole burrito was this stuff. Not to sure what it is but im pretty sure its not meat... the more I look at the more I feel like vomiting.. I pulled a couple of pieces out to show...

Such good food and huge burritos

Jesse, the owner, is the nicest person!! The food was delicious and very generous portions. We ordered to go, but we changed our minds and sat in the restaurant instead. He was so kind to bring our already packed-to-go food to the table and unpacked it for us, along with different salsas to try with our burritos. We will definitely be going there again!
