Ordered food that never came. Ten people, in the whole place and the server, nor manager, could figure out how to deliver fries in under 30 minutes. Then, they stood around and had a meeting, about who was to blame for the screwup, before giving our money back. I don’t care to stand there further while you figure out that the waitress gave our food to the wrong table. Don’t take more of my time while you try and solve the mystery of two people ordered the same food.

The smashburger is good, the sauce has some kick to it and a good selection of local beers. Downside the fries were luke warm at best and tasted like they had been left out too long before they were served to somebody.

This place looked promising but was a huge disappointment. The food looked great and the restaurant seemed inviting; however, the food that I ordered was never made. I had to re-order my food to-go, and when I finally got it, the order was completely wrong and I couldn't eat it. The two other people I was with also had their orders messed up, and the food they received was sub-par. The burgers were bland and the buns were rock hard (though they looked good). The staff here doesn't care at all, the food is crap, they get your order wrong every time, and it takes a long time. This restaurant wasted the only time I had available to eat. Save your time and money and go elsewhere if you're looking to get a meal in Ventura.

Ordered via DoorDash and got a personal sized vegan supreme pizza. It was just ok…I think it has like 3 types of veggies and tons of vegan cheese. Didn’t even have olives…could have been so much better.

I just had the best gluten-free dairy, free burger ever! I got it as a lettuce wrap with double patties and vegan cheese. That is actually delicious. Not all vegan cheese is good, this is great! I even like their pickles and I’m not usually a pickle eater.

I got the vegan smash burger with fries. Those fries were great, probably some of the best I have ever had. The burger was decent too. I had an almost scarring experience though since the waitress had served me a "regular" smash burger and interrupted me trying to hold it in my hand just in time. But definitely go for the food and trust the gods of probability and chance and expect that you won't have such an experience.

We can’t believe it took us this long to find Happy Place Eatery! My husband is a vegan and I am vegan – adjacent. I had the vegan chicken sandwich with fries and my husband had the Philly cheesesteak vegan with fries! We both had Balcom Canyon ciders. Everything was absolutely fantastic. The service is great and sitting at the bar looking out onto the downtown street and all the passersby was super fun. We will definitely return!
I had the smash burger double without pickles and it was definitely the best burger I have had. I will be coming back with my family to try it out. Usually I don’t eat the fries at restaurants because they aren’t too good but these seasoned perfectly and crispy. 5/5 for sure.

awesome place to chill and have a beer! the pizza is so good; i like the pizza here better than the pies at actual pizza parlors haha. everyone who works here is so sweet, especially josie, who invited us in as we were ambling main st one night. happy place is one of the hightlights of main st for sure!
