Local sushi spots will vary by location. I’m sure in California everyone has their place. This is mine. I’ve come in for lunch and dinner and usually try to sit at the bar if it’s open. It’s intimate and definitely a little slice of heaven. The sushi here is served fresh, fast, and furious. If they take a little longer for your meal to arrive it’s not because it’s slow. Pretty good sushi but pick up is always late. Today I waited 25 minutes after they said it would be ready and this was not the first time. A few minutes late here and there is whatever but 5-10 minutes every time plus some 20-30 waits is unacceptable. Figure out your time estimates

Obviously it's all japanese; tempura, edamame, miso, etc. My only knock is the beef teriyaki was rather pedestrian. However even their salads (seaweed [comes gratis!] and green dressed with ginger dressing) were delectable.
Well worth the price if you have the budget. Can be noisy during peak times. Courteous and plentiful...
