The food is really good here, but omg the service was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced in Ventura County. First, we were sat down at a table that was so visibly dirty (soy sauce and food crumbs on the table). I asked for a towel to wipe the table down and our server just stared at me like a deer in headlights…so that was already weird. Then, after 20 min, our order was finally taken. The server took my order, but then left in the middle of taking our order…ok weird again, but maybe he’ll be back in a few mins to take my husband’s order. Our server disappeared for 15 min, and another server brought out my food while my husband still hadn’t had the chance to order. You can tell they clearly are hiring high schoolers/early 20 year olds who have no idea what they are doing. I wish the service matched the food because if it did we’d be loyal customers.

Kuu Sushi has rocketed to the top of the local sushi rankings for my wife and I. The service is warm and welcoming. The portions are generous and the fish is fresh. We’ve been happy with everything we’ve ordered.
It’s the best option in town for rolls. Their lunch menu is also a great value for the quality.

This was my first time at Kuu. Won't be my last time. Sincerely enjoyed the food and the environment. Everything was tasty. The young man who served our table was very polite and friendly and efficient. I think his name was Leo or gio, sadly I forgot.
Service was horrible, had to ask to be served out waiter forgot our drinks we reminded him 3 times and had to let him know to take out order, the chicken in the bento bowl was undercooked when I asked to change it they owner was hesistant They brought over sauces and the waiter made sure to tell us that one of the sauces was made and the other one was bought Half of the food was cold a lot of employees but they didn’t know what to do and lastly the waiter was only fast to bring us the check.. worst service ever…

We took our son to Kuu for his birthday dinner. He said it's the best place in Ventura and I have to agree. The food was all fantastic the rolls were delicious and the sashimi was as fresh as it comes.
I want to give special kudos to our service and the service. Our sons 96 year old grandmother joined us for dinner and had several unusual requests which our server was went above and beyond to fulfill. Great place with great food.

Kuu sushi is some of the freshest fish I've had in the local area. Been here a few times on different days to guage how they run. From 8-close they have a happy hour that has unbeatable prices. They dont skimp on the fish in the rolls. Customer service has always been top tier. The store manager Hani holds her restaurant to high standards and shes super friendly.
