I waited 50 minutes for an arrachera plate and they brought me a burrito instead. I left the restaurant. Staff was nice, but food was MIA.
Every bite is not a fiesta and the staff is extremely rude, unintelligent and disrespectful. Was there a week ago for the first time with a friend. The young unintelligent man who took our order asked if we wanted separate checks and we said YES. My friend ordered a cheese burger, fries and a coke. He paid $13.50. Portions are huge, and the prices are reasonable, only a dollar or two more than other places, but well worth it for the size of the plates. The Alpastor Nachos and Carne Asada taco salad are highly recommended, and the seafood dishes, like the mocajete and mixed cocktail, are cooked deliciously and served promptly. Customers order and pay at the counter, then the food is delivered to the table by very attentive waiters. With lots of seating and nice Mexican decor, it provides a family-friendly atmosphere, making it great for a big family dinner. The chips and salsa are perfect, and they even sell alcohol at this location. Lalo's continues to offer super authentic fresh food for an affordable price for all of Ventura.
