Lalo’s fast food

I went to Lalo's Restaurant in the Ventura Thompson location. On Saturday, 8/23/25, and the white female checkout clerk treated us very poorly and was very arrogant. I ordered fried mojarra, and it was extremely salty. I ordered flank steak, and they served me a dry, tough piece of meat with rice for $26.95, and it was awful. My husband wanted to order a margarita, and it cost $22. Not even in a restaurant that isn't fast food would they be that expensive and have bad service.

$4.30 for a large horchata that's 100% made with water I'm so upset I should've just went to Vons done the street for the 59oz Kerns horchata that's the same pirce. So ridiculously overpriced I wish I could get my money back. All the people working there don't even have the decency to look you in the eye. They treat you like trash yet they expect you to pay their ridiculous prices. Any other Mexican food place is better than this one.

I usually don’t write negative reviews but the food was genuinely awful. I ordered flan to go and I could smell it as soon as I opened the bag. It smelled horrible like spoiled milk and it tasted exactly like that. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t refrigerated at all, we didn’t drive that far so it should have still been cold but it was actually slightly warm. The taquitos were way too salty. Not only that the rice and beans were off too. And the horchata wasn’t good either. The tamale was okay but they didn’t have a lot of the options available for it.

I love the girls in lalos that work the front counter. Best chicken tacos ever Romona was just mad because she ordered the wrong taco.

Came to have a carnita burrito and the meat was overcooked. Was hard and looked like it was cooked too long. That is the meat. For a couple dollars more I could have eaten at the Chinese buffet down the street.

Rice dried out ,fried beans barely warm and thick, soft taco chicken dried out and hard, tamale mushy with too much sauce. Avocado sauce watery very disapointed
