If you are looking for authentic, soul-warming Korean food, this is the spot. Iāve traveled all over the Pacific during my time in the Navy, and the flavors here are as legit as it gets.
The atmosphere is welcoming, and the food feels like a home-cooked meal. Whether youāre craving a rich, bubbling stew or perfectly seasoned Bulgogi, everything is fresh and hits the spot. Itās the perfect place to go when you want a meal that actually fills you up and makes you feel good.
Ventura has a lot of dining options, but Matna 1631 is easily at the top of my list for comfort food. Great service and even better flavors. Iāll definitely be back! š°š·š²š„

Superior service! Fairly ignorant of Korean food, young lady at register was so helpful and over-the-top polite. Ordered Brisket Ramen and KFC and both were delicious. Will return to sample more goodbess.

Food is fantastic! Havenāt had anything I donāt love. Staff is friendly and place is very clean and nice inside ! I saw people complaining about the price but I usually end up spending 20 bucks and having enough leftover for lunch the next day.. super fair value in my opinion!

Yummy Korean food!
On the pricey side for the portions but very tasty food. Loved the cold udon noodle salad, spicy ramen, beef bulgogi rice bowl, and onion pancake. The chicken wings were good but too expensive for the serving size. They have an abbreviated menu, not a full array of Korean dishes. Cute interior but small and not a lot of seating.

I just had the best noodle soup of my life! We came in at 7:15pm on the Saturday night, and needed to eat something real quick. The hostess recommended a number items. We chose the Beef Brisket noodle soup and Chicken Rice bowl. Both of are phenomenal! We totally should have taken some pictures before inhaling them down, no joke! Super reasonable price, and far exceeded expectations!

Staff was very helpful & welcoming!! service was outstanding and food was served with a perfect time manner and the food was great! Definitely recommend stopping by will not disappoint
The food was excellent. Had the bibimbap and soy garlic fried chicken. The fried chicken was crisp and flavorful. The bibimbap came in the stone dish and delivered on the crisp rice and flavor.
The cook and young lady at the counter were excellent. I was disappointed in the service from the mother. She was on her phone or laptop the whole time. Felt she could have been more attentive, filling water, following up on the meal, or offering to box up the food. The message I got is that her YouTube videos were more important than providing excellent service to each customer. Step up your game and you will fill up that restaurant.

The KFC wings are to die for!! The spicy ones have so much flavor! I got the rice bowl the first time and it was delicious and then the spicy pork ramen the second time and definitely has a kick! I hate ordering āspicyā ramen and itās not spicyāthis one was perfect. The service each time we have been in has been amazing! They are so kind and give amazing recommendations.
