We ordered a few dozen crinkle cookies for our wedding reception and were quite disappointed with what we received. The cookies were not consistent with the ones we had tried in the store or what is advertised on Mestiza’s website and Instagram. The cookies did not spread in the oven and instead look like lopsided balls covered in powdered sugar. We had ordered the cookies for our wedding mainly because of the beautiful presentation. We expressed our disappointment to Mestiza, and they showed little concern, explaining that they can “never, ever guarantee how our baked goods will look when they come out of the oven.” As a customer, I think it is a reasonable expectation that the cookies we ordered would be consistent with what we had tried in the restaurant and what is advertised on their website and social media. It is misleading to advertise crinkle cookies, and then provide different cookies that do not look like the photos. I've attached photos of what we thought we were ordering vs. what we received. So just beware if you're ordering ube crinkles for an event, they may turn out like ours did.

I purchased the combo with 12 pieces of lumpia, pancit and rice. I am accustomed to eating Filipino food. This is by far the worse I have tasted. All of it was without flavor. The lumpia did not have any vegetables in them. BlandThe pancit set had a funny taste to it. The onion's had that kind of odd taste like green onions that have been sitting around for a while. Tje pancit was tasteless without a good flavor. It was my first visit. I do not plan to revisit this place again. In a conclusion, what a waste of my money.

Yummy Filipino food in Ventura! A family and woman run business with delicious Filipino classics like adobo rice bowl, lumpia, lechon, sisig, siapao, and exciting spins on classics like adobo fries and ube cheesecake.A dozen ube crinkle cookies are choice to bring to any party! Crispy and creamy and chewy in the most delightful way.The recent decor update is super cute and adds to it feeling like a visit to your grandma’s or best friend’s family’s house for an amazing homemade meal.Mestiza Kitchen is open Thursday through Sunday, which makes it a really special treat.

You’re looking at what my husband describes as ‘the best piece of cake he’s ever had in his life’. We’ve been to mestiza quite a few times and it is consistently phenomenal. All of their desserts are literal perfection.. the ube crinkle cookies, the pandan tres leches cake.. also do yourself a favor and get yourself an ube horchata. I could literally eat like 100 of their lumpias. Drop what you are doing and go here now! You will not be disappointed!

Cute little restaurant hidden between a few shops. Food was incredibly delicious and the service was really good. Several types of lumpia served, ube desserts, and my personal favorite adobo fries. In a city with a few really good restaurants, this is up there with the best.

Went to this place for I believe my second time ever with only 2 things in mind: Lumpia & Pancit. As I arrived and looked at the menu, found exactly what I was looking for. The Lumpia Lovers Combo! Although it was a bit high on price($19), it is well worth it! Had enough to share with my sister and to bring to eat at work. Will return and try more things and will include photos for the next thing I try.It looked different from the last time I tried it(I believe in 2018) but the ambiance and the staff was very welcoming. Highly recommend!

Took my family of 6 (4 kids & Wife) to this place for the first time and we had a wonderful experience. Being Filipino there isn't much for Filipino cuisine in Ventura county. Mestiza Kitchen isn't the typical traditional Filipino restaurant, but what they offer is a fusion of traditional & creative dishes. All the flavors of traditional Filipino food was there and everything we ate was delicious. The restaurant is owned & operated by the Family and we were happy to support local business. If you're looking for something unique with flavors from the Philippines this place will satisfy all your cravings & appetite.

Another great place to get Filipino food in Ventura. It is run by a husband and wife along with their family, who early take pride in ensuring the food is up to standards that is Filipino cuisine. They are also very nice, they talked to me for awhile while I waited for my order to be done. Ample selection from lumpia to pancit, which is called Imperial Noodles as a nod to not just the cultural heritage but also to the owner’s family. Selection for desserts is amazing as well - the ube cake was moist and just right.

Mestiza Kitchen is one of our favorite restaurants in Ventura, we especially love seeing the new dessert creations they come up with! We ordered the calamansi bites, ube crinkles, and ube Oreo cheesecake cookies for our wedding and everything was a huge hit!

The inside of the restaurant is beautiful! All of the different lights are pleasent and the front of house staff's were so kind and gracious! The food was also absolutely delicious! Me and my wife will definitely be back before we leave the area.

Staff is super friendly and place is really clean. The desserts are super delicious. I ordered Ube crinkle cookies, ube chata, ube flan and ube and banana pudding. I loved them. Also just a side note, there is no public restroom.
