Went for a New Years Eve dinner. They never reserved our table. Had to wait an extra half hour. Waitress strongly suggested New Years Eve Dinner special of steak and lobster. It came totally covered in some nasty sauce and we said it had horrible presentation, but we said we would try to eat it. Felt sick right away.
Once we tried to eat it we realized it tasted awful, but since we tried to eat it, was never offered any compensation.
A total waste of money ($75) and a huge disappointment for our date night. Please avoid going here since the food was horrible and they don't take accountability. Should have been no charge for this huge disappointment!!!

My wife and I come to Ventura several times a year and we always stay at the Crowne Plaza. Although there are many choices in the area, we always have breakfast at the Moofish Cafe. Scott is part of the wait staff, and he is always there to help us. The food is excellent, but Scott makes it a great experience. Whether you're staying at the Crowne Plaza or not, it's worth the trip to the café! Thank you Scott!

I asked for a medium rare steak, and this was clearly a medium. Not to mention this was a dead center cut, the rest of the steak was well done. The two sides I ordered were both horribly under seasoned. Mash potatoes tasted like plain starch. The kind you get out of a box of instant potato. The veggies looked normal yet tasted watered down without seasoning. Highly disappointed by a 40$ meal. I even asked the waiter if they had a chef in the kitchen, and he replied yes. I was shocked they are paying someone for this. I'm sure fast food knows how to make better seasoned food than this. Besides the food it was great service, the waiter was relaxed and checking on me often. I hope my tip goes only to him...

Great ocean view breakfast restaurant near the pier. If you sit outside during the summer months, which is delightful, it's best to get there early enough unless you like the heat. They do offer umbrellas for shade, and the indoor seating is plentiful, clean and bright.
The menu is great and they just added some new items.

We had two great breakfasts back to back staying at the hotel. Moofish Cafe's was a wonderful start to both our mornings.
We tried a little of everything, the pancakes were so good our son ordered them twice!
The best part was the relaxing setting and the attentive service. Scott took great care of us this morning - hitting that perfect balance of taking care of us promptly but not making breakfast feel rushed.
If you are staying at the Plaza, or find yourself in the area for breakfast we definitely recommend!

Seriously good breakfast. Pancakes, French toast, omelettes, breakfast sandwich all executed perfectly. House potatos are delicious, strips of poblano pepper and actually seasoned. Standout was the country fried steak sandwich served open face on a biscuit with chorizo gravy. That gravy was exceptional, all too often restaurants serve bland white paste and call it gravy, not here! Just awesome food and great service too.
