I was super excited to find this place as I've been looking for a good cidery but was super disappointed in it. The location itself is nice - it's beautifully decorated with plenty of seating options. They had live music while we were there, which was super fun. We sat far enough away that we could still hold a conversation while listening to the music. They also offer food items, such as pizza and charcuterie, which is a plus - always nice to have food while doing a tasting. They offer flight options of five ciders. They explained that the first cider in the flight (I believe it was the sour apple) was the base for all their ciders. The problem was that I didn't like that first cider at all, so it was a lost cause for all the other ciders on the flight as well. It sounds like other people really like their cider, but for me, this one was a loss. They're also part of Four Brix Winery, so if you're not a cider fan, you can also order a glass of wine or try their wine flight. Overall, it was a nice experience between the music and time spent with friends, but I wouldn't return because I wasn't a fan of their ciders.

Did a quick search in the area on Yelp, and was pleased to find a place that featured cider. Finding places that feature cider is a challenge, especially in LA/Ventura County. We stopped in to check out this new place to us and found out that this establishment has been open for approximately 12 years as a winery. And several years ago they got into making ciders! This place is primarily a winery with a spin off of a cidery where they feature approximately 5 ciders on tap. Plus they have ciders in bottles that you can take away. They had one apple cider and several other flavors. As I am a traditionalist when it comes to cider, I stick to the apple cider! It was good but definitely on the sweeter side! I prefer dry ciders! Ciders cost 11 dollars a glass. They have take away bottles of ciders too! Nice item to take to the beach! If you are not a cider fan or prefer wine, they have an extensive menu of wine! The winery/cidery does have a comfy location to kick back within a small space! They have nice comfy seats plus larger communal tables! They also have a venue space where they have their wine barrels! Looks like a nice space to do an event! We appreciate the great hospitality! Thanks Tyler for the intro to this establishment!

I've been on a mission to find a cider place in town that my husband enjoys. I finally found it. Came here since we were near by and found it on Yelp. We each tried their cider flight and they were all really good. Their tap rotates every now and then. When we went the following was on tap:1. Sour Apple2. Persimmon Lavender3. Tamarind Ice4. Oh Mai5. Rhubarb HoneyThey have other flavors that they have bottled up ready to go for you to take home. Two flavors that I can remember are Blackberry and Mango Chili Lime. We ended up buying them to go and I can't wait to try them. The location is very cute. They have very limited seating outside. Lots of seating inside. This is also a winery called Four Brix Winery. Next time I come I'll be doing a tasting of their wine. I feel bad that I didn't catch their name, but the bartender who assisted us was very sweet. They knew their cider and wine very well. Overall, cute little place. Glad my husband enjoyed it. I also enjoyed it. We enjoyed it a lot to the point that we signed up for their cider membership. Which I think is really cool they have. We can't wait to go back.

This was my first time trying their cider from here & I will say that it will not be my last! The different samples were each so good! I recommend the persimmon lavender cider! Michelle was so friendly & attentive to us! They have live music playing which makes it a very welcoming and fun environment. I 100% recommend people to come & check this place this out!

Cider...pretty good but pricey. Food...just barely ok.Service... friendly and attentive but it was busy and the staff seemed stressed. We ordered a flight and instead of serving it all at once they wanted us to wait in line for each different pour.

Hidden in a warehouse but once you're inside you forget that part! The tasting room is spacious and clean. The bathrooms are immaculate (and there are two in the tasting room!). The cider is delicious and unique. The owners are super kind people. We stopped for a fundraiser event one night. Tacos and music were so much fun. Oh and there are games available in the tasting room and snack food too! I'm pretty sure there is a gluten free flatbread on the snack menu too. I'm hoping they bring back the pina picante cider they made last year because it was perfect!

I really like their cider I'm terrible at remembering names but they made one in a pepper flavor that was truly killer. I suggest (Strongly) giving them a try.

Checked the hours and it says open Thursdays so we drove all the way out to here and it was closed before 5.

Best hard cider and great for my gluten intolerance issue.

Housed within Four Brix Winery, Pier City Cider adds a delicious new element to Ventura's craft booze scene. All five ciders they had on tap were quite drinkable, and the persimmon lavender is one of the best I've ever had anywhere. I talked to the informative and friendly cider maker himself and he told me about some of the seasonal flavors they've had and will continue to develop. Very excited to continue tasting what these folks put out b/c I love what I've had so far.
