Im not one to make yelp reviews but this time was very annoying to me /: I came here the other morning around 11:30am , saw they opened at 11:00am, they were closed and the door was locked. I double checked the hours online to make sure i wasnt making it up and then 3 mins later someone comes out and locks the door right back up. i thought that was odd but that wasnt a big deal, i went to another poke place down the road. Today im trying to order food for pickup for my lunch as i work in the next shopping center over. The online ordering system isnt taking orders which was weird because i had just tried an hour ago to make sure they do takeout. I then tried calling them twice and no one answered me. I havent even had a chance to try this place out because they have been closed each time that i want it. Why do the hours say open if theyre not open!?

Ordered a small bowl with no extras and and iced tea from the refrigerator and the total came to 18.98 plus tip...not sure if that's the typical price to poke because i don't eat it often but It seems unreasonable to me. While the food was ok, not worth the price in my opinion!

I've been here many times, its my go to poke place as I work right by it. I went last night and the two girls working were super nice and moved quickly and efficiently. The only issue was that there seemed to be a very slim selection of items left, a lot of the toppings and mix-ins were missing. I attribute this to coming in really close to closing time though, as I'm usually there earlier. Besides that it tasted great as always, fish always seems fresh and of great quality. I will definitely be back.

I really love this place and don't mind paying a little extra for some of the toppings but I do wish that they had a tofu bowl option. one thing that is a huge concern is that it's SO warm inside. Like unbearably hot for myself so can't imagine what it's like for the employees, also can't be good for raw fish.... I usually get tofu so l know I'm safe but I am legit worried about people getting sick. Hope that changes soon.

It was really warm inside which is not good for seafood. They had a portable AC unit which does nothing for keeping the food cold and not spoiled. There were flies everywhere. Walked right out. DO NOT GO HERE!

this place was hot inside for no reason, the guy putting our bowls together wasn't wearing gloves, the spicy tuna looked like it was from last week and the crab meat was mayonnaise meat. can't wait to never come back

Third time that I've come and their doors are locked hours before closing. If your hours have changed, update it. Jesus.

Just ordered a bowl which I was very skeptical about doing. I saw a small fly by the octopus, and noticed there was one flying by were we were sitting. Plus every ingredient and fish looked so unfresh like it had been sitting out all day. It was also super warm in there which is not good when ur dealing with raw fish. The rice had hard pieces in it. I’m guessing from being overcooked. I ended up throwing out the whole thing after a couple bites

Love, love, love this place. Fish is always fresh, properly prepared and delicious!! The Cajun tuna is killer, as is the normal tuna, salmon, you name it. Love that they have TONS of topping options and so many of them are free, very very few are extra. Mix ins and sauces are also a great selection If your a Poke fan, and live near Ventura, please check these guys out. They have put out in incredible product. They even have a special tool specifically designed for sushi and fish to bring it back to perfect upon prepping it for serving. Not even many sushi places have those. Give it shot! Best poke around in my opinion.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Spent $30 on two bowls that were so disgusting we had to throw them away. Fish tasted horrible like it had gone bad. The other toppings were equally as disgusting. Please don’t go here it’s a waste of money. Very disappointing. I would consider the food inedible.

Didn't even purchase anything. The tuna was a strange pale green color, the white fish was limp and off colored and it didn't smell very appetizing.

I loved going to this place but there's this new girl there at barely puts any protein in the scoops. I always order 5 scoops because I like to have a lot of protein and I don't mind paying the extra scoop at all. But I watched her scoop a full scoop of protein and then shake it off so only half the scoop was full and counted it as a full protein. I went back today and as soon as I saw her about to help me, I turned around because I don't want to be scammed again. I went to eat at Arby's next door. As soon as she's not the one helping put food together, I will return

[take this opinion with a grain of salt due to my visit being during the 2020 pandemic lockdown for takeout] This place may have been better when not under lockdown, but I have to judge it using the information I have on hand. It's a clean and relatively professional place, the prices are decent for what they offer. The guy working there was also friendly and helpful. The problem is the ingredients used. Poke by it's nature, requires extremely fresh ingredients, and what I got was barely passable. The less fresh the fish, the more "fishy" it tastes and smells, since that fishy smell is actually from the meat oxidizing and decomposing. The rice was also pretty dry and stale. Somewhat disappointed, but it's understandable with the current situation that all restaurants are tightening thier purse strings. I don't think I'll be going back until things return to somewhat normal.
