The view and ease of parking a nice surprise. So, truth in lending I was there for a reception that feature food. The view could not be beat, the furniture and decor was, well dated, the food was ok. But did I tell you about the view. The staff was handing out hors d'oeuvre the tuna on fried tortilla was good, they had a mushroom cap filled with something that I passed on. The line food has a few choices I had the lumpias, beef and shrimp on a skewer and the beef sliders. The lumpias did not have that nice crunch you like with them and the dipping sauce tasted bland. The beef and shrimp were fine and the sliders, a disappointment the beef was over cooked and clearly assembled quickly.

The service staff was great they were quick super friendly.

That said, I’m going to try again because this was for a reception and I suspect the group putting on the event may have put a tough cost per serving requirement.

Because the view is spectacular, the staff was great and the kitchen looked well-appointed, I’m give them another shot hoping the restaurant experience is different.

Everything was great, but you need to wash the windows. Also when the restaurant is empty let the tables be used for happy hour.

The food deserves ZERO stars and no longer reflects menu selections. Potatoes old and overfried, no avocado in avocado toast, more like a salsa; and the bread is not everything bread. It is plain yellow white cheap bread. The cost of $22 does not reflect the quality of the food. I am very disappointed. This used to be a good restaurant, but the quality and service has decreased. We had to flag down servers to get water and coffee refilled. I do not recommend this restaurant unless you are not eating there.

The food and atmosphere were outstanding. The Happy Hour drinks were watered down and not worth the $9.00 each.
Enjoy the food, great service and views of the harbor, they are all great. I had 4 martinis and they were were just beverages, not martinis.

Went here for my birthday dinner and it happened to be on the same day as the parade of lights so we had to order the $99 special. Where we were sat was probably the worst seats on the patio so I couldn't enjoy the boats or fireworks from my seat. The first two courses took a while (waiting an hour for 3 pieces of crostini). However , once I talked to one of the hostesses, it seems like the kitchen started to catch up and the dining experience was nice. The steak was the highlight , cooked perfectly. I'll definitely return to see what the original menu has to offer.

Place was practically empty at Sunday brunch. There was a party of 20 across the room. No one acknowledged our presence for about 20 minutes from the time we sat w menus. Then another couple walked in, sat, waiter came right over?! We stood up and walked right out! WTH is that all about?

I had a terrible experience at Waters Edge in Ventura. I placed an online order for Thanksgiving, received a confirmation, and showed up to pick it up—only to be rudely told by the maître d’ that they “weren’t taking online orders” because of their buffet. He refused to help, told me to contact Toast, and even told the Toast rep he was “too busy” to deal with it. I left with no Thanksgiving meal for my family despite paying for it. Completely unprofessional, uncaring, and unacceptable. I won’t ever return or recommend this place.

⭐️ 1-Star Review: Waters Edge, Ventura, CA

I have never experienced such unprofessional, dismissive treatment from any restaurant as I did at Waters Edge this Thanksgiving. I placed an online order, received a full confirmation, and arrived expecting to pick up the meal I paid good money for. Instead, I was met with one of the rudest interactions I’ve ever had with restaurant staff.

The maître d’ barely looked at my confirmation before curtly telling me that because it’s Thanksgiving they were serving a buffet and “not taking online orders.” No apology, no attempt to help, no acknowledgment that I had a confirmed order they accepted. When I explained the situation again and showed him the confirmation, he simply brushed it off and told me to “contact Toast,” their ordering system.

Toast customer service actually tried to help—they even reached out to the restaurant while I was standing there—but the maître d’ told the Toast representative that he was “too busy” to deal with it and that I should “call tomorrow.” Meanwhile, I was left standing there on Thanksgiving Day with no meal for my family and money already charged.

There was zero concern, zero responsibility taken for their mistake, and absolutely no customer service. Their attitude made it clear that my situation was not important to them in the slightest.

Because of their complete lack of professionalism and compassion on a holiday—when people rely on to-go meals more than ever—I will never return and will never recommend Waters Edge to anyone. This was a horrible experience from start to finish, and they should be ashamed of how they treat paying customers.
