I drove out excited to try smoked brisket for the first time, only to find out they had already sold out. Just when I thought I had missed my chance, a worker—possibly the owner—went above and beyond to check if anything at all was left. He came through and found me some, making sure I still got to experience it for the first time.
The brisket was nice and tender and had a really solid bark.

Food was delicious! Everyone in my party was talking about it! We had them cater my boyfriend’s birthday at topa topa brewery. They were on time and wonderful, all of the food was hot and delicious. Some of the best bbq in cali that I’ve ever had. 10/10 would recommend

10/10 love at first bite. Service is great, Jason puts out consistent quality. Best BBQ in the county. Love the vibe can’t wait to chow down again. The potato salad is great too! You’re missing out if you haven’t stopped by on the weekend. Try to get there early, it’s a proper BBQ place. Don’t complain if you show up late.
This is the third time I came here to leave with nothing again every time I come get the maple bacon pork belly they’re always out a drive from Oxnard to Ventura and all three times of been disappointed not cool if you know that’s your number one seller cause it seems like it is You should try to have more

Went to Enegren Brewing Co yesterday, Sunday 5/25 for their end of the month BBQ & the food was catered by Ruff House BBQ. Although it tasted good.. Sadly, that evening I got food poisoning and was quite sick, most likely from the potato salad as I didn't eat much else. I'm writing this review to make aware, as food really needs to be better properly prepared, stored etc. Especially when on location and serving products that contains milk, dairy etc. If you've ever been affected by food poisoning, you know it's just awful and even worse when trying to enjoy a holiday. :(

Ruff House BBQ is the hands down the best BBQ around. I am a professional chef and a foodie and have very high standards when it comes down to dining out. I have never been let down by Ruff House. From their meats, and sauces to their specials and staff, everything is 10/10 every time.
I am a Ventura local who has lived here over 20 years, and I am SO thankful for amazing BBQ right down the street. Can’t wait for their new location to open in the Gasworks building!!!!!
