Just shared Spasso with great friends visiting from Atlanta. My pork chops were the best I have ever had dining out- a standout dish! Yes, their lasagna and ravioli are go-to favs, but wow are the pork chops amazing! So glad I branched out tonight!
What a wonderful find on Seward Avenue in Ventura. If you want the real deal Italian cuisine, this is your place. Our fabulous waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and fantastic at explaining everything. Highly recommend and we will be back for sure.
Our first time here. Loved all the dishes we tried. Very nice wait staff. A large menu selection. Can't wait to come again!

SPASSO Cucina Italiana is a charming restaurant serving excellent Italian cuisine. The food is delicious, with homemade pasta and standouts like lasagna and Cheese Pizza. The atmosphere is cozy, with a charming bar and beach views. Service is generally lovely, with accommodating staff. Wine and cocktails are reasonably priced.
The restaurant is located in a cute converted beach house near the water, with an outdoor patio. The antipasto plate is fantastic, with marinated zucchini and mushrooms. The portions are big, and the lasagna is incredible. Customers have also enjoyed the lemon drop with Pomegranate, Italian Crema Bruciata or crème Brûlée, and the outstanding warm bread served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. The Caesar salad is very good, and the Pasta e Ceci is loved by many. The Tiramisu is excellent and a perfect way to finish the meal. The restaurant offers a clean, no-nonsense ambience, and its beach block location makes it a great spot to stroll afterwards. The food and wine list are all great, with fresh-made papardelle and sauces. The restaurant is the only place in town for authentic Italian dishes and a great selection of wine and cocktails to round out the meal.
