This hotel has obviously been remodeled relatively recently. It still looks new. Staff at check-in were pleasant, efficient, thorough and very accommodating. The room we had was amazingly comfortable. It was big, well appointed, very clean, and had one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. One of my bugaboos about hotels is the air conditioning. This unit was fantastic - easy to set, very reliable, and the fan made just the right amount of noise to provide that marvelous "white noise sleep." Because the lounge was closed, instead of a continental breakfast in the lounge due to our Elite status, we were treated to a full order off the menu breakfast. It was a really good pork green chili omelet. My only complaint would be that there is a $16 charge for parking. A little strange, but that's life these days. We will be coming back to Venture and will be choosing this Marriott as our hotel.

Stayed here to celebrate 2024 new years, we left to venture out in downtown Ventura. The pros, the room was reasonably priced. Check out was at 12pm, although my bf insisted it said 11am the night before. Maybe it did say that? The jacuzzi and gym room were nice. I liked the modern feel to the room and how there was a bar available. The cons, at check-in, we had to sign a paper saying we won't have a party here. I found it interesting that they also had the prices for missing items listed in our room . That's the first time I ever saw that in a hotel before. The walls are not exactly soundproof, I heard footsteps in the morning from the room above me. I would honestly invest in some theft resistant items at this point to avoid having this price list in the rooms. But I guess, what can do you do right haha. It's pretty average room for the price you get. it was alright. I don't think I would come back to this place unless there were no other options though. I think I can get a better bang for buck nearby.

The channels restaurant at the Marriott had a great spinach salad, with berries to use walnuts, and what taste like homemade dressing. I would have it again.

I arrived in the afternoon and spent a wonderful evening and morning before I headed up to see a client in Ojai. While it was a very short stay. I appreciated the very nice and clean room with an ocean view on the fourth floor outside my balcony. The staff was nice and helpful, and perhaps most of all the fact that the pool and Jacuzzi stayed open until 11 PM. After a wonderful dinner at the Ox and Ocean not too far on the Oxnard shore, I had the jacuzzi to myself for almost an hour. The bed was more than suitable and in the morning I had the buffet that was included in my room. Being gluten intolerant I'm not fond of buffets but there were plenty of choices for me to be more than satisfied.

The hotel is recently remodeled and overall a great hotel. Parking gates were an issue with our parking pass being deactivated before we checked out. The M Club does not operate, no reason was shared when we asked. Multiple small charges for milk and to-go cereal that is normally free for M Club members. The restaurant's breakfast buffet is good, you can also request a waffle or omelet which is included in the price. The staff is helpful, but there is a feeling of light staffing as visible with other guests waiting in line at the front desk. No management was visible through our stay.

Loved the hotel for a quick getaway with kids. Restaurant buffet was a plus during breakfast. The kids favorite spot was the pool and jacuzzi. I can't complain about having an In and Out joint right across the street. Customer service gets thumbs up as well. And the waking proximity to the beach was my favorite part.

When you pull up it is a HUGE plain building surrounded by parking. There's currently no Valet due to lack of workers. Parking is $16 a night which they fail to tell you until you are here. Most hotels in Cali charge though so no big deal to us. The inside of the lobby reminds me of an airport. Yes it's that massive and open. The reception desk is tucked away in the dark corner to the right. Beautiful desks. There's a basics store next to the reception desks. They have an outdoor pool, gym, bar, and of coarse all of the business rooms and so fourth. We stayed in room 3069, which is a beautiful large king room. See my pics! We got moved to room 3067 which is a 2 queen bed with one chair so it wasn't comfortable to stay in and definitely a downgrade in comparison to 3069.

Over the years I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. The renovated rooms are nicely done. However, I was disappointed when the M Club at this property, which is listed on the Marriott website, was closed. The Club is there and visible from the lobby, but it is not in use and apparently never been open since the renovation. When I asked the front desk agent about it, he said "it has never been open since it was added and doesn't think it will ever be open." We did appreciate the ability to have breakfast in the hotel restaurant which appears to only be open for breakfast (good thing there were some restaurants a short car-ride away). There is a $16.00 self-parking fee. Really like the location but may consider other properties when in area next time.

This is a lovely hotel in a great location close to the bike/walk trail. It would be nice if there was complimentary coffee in the hotel lobby. Regarding the bathroom in the room… The barn/sliding doors on the bathroom really do not afford the occupants any privacy while in the bathroom. I’d suggest a change.

Terrific view from my room. And a great courtyard pool, jacuzzi, and koi pond. Lots of pleasant space in the courtyard and the lobby to meet up with friends. Clean and comfortable and contemporary. Wonderful stay.

Great hotel walking distance to Ventura Beach. The front desk staff are very pleasant and the person who checked us in was kind. She took a few moments to describe the view of the rooms when I asked for a water view. Since they are not directly adjacent to the beach, the closest they had were views of the state park. We settled on a courtyard view which has the pool. The room was clean and quiet. The interior is nicely renovated. The exterior has not been renovated so much. There is a surface lot for parking, which you have to pay for. There are signs warning of theft and to take in your valuables. The walk to the beach was very easy, which we enjoyed every evening and morning. We’d return to this hotel.

Beautiful hotel and rooms in an odd location between the highway and the ocean. No ocean view but an easy 3 block walk to the beach. It’s right off the highway across from an In &Out. Rooms are above average especially the shower. Fridge didn’t seem to work but maintenance came quickly and it just needed temp adjustments which was a switch hidden behind it. Restaurant was empty for dinner which was surprising given how good and affordable it was. Breakfast looked busier. Koi pond in courtyard was a bonus but pool looked pretty average. Would stay here again for sure.

Everything you could ask for in a hotel. Great location close to both downtown and just a few steps from the beach. The place was clean, the lobby was inviting, and the service was extremely good. Highly recommend.

I stayed here for 2 nights for work. Other folks were staying here so we followed suit and also booked the Marriott. Check-in was at 3:00pm. Parking on their lot is not free and upon looking at my receipt was $16 per day. Also breakfast is not free and not included. The décor is sleek and modern. I had a view of the pool from my room. I also could hear a baby crying next to me on one side and a man on the phone on the other side of me which tells you that it's not very soundproof. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were fairly nice. They are dog friendly here and we did meet a couple of French bulldogs in the lobby walking around with their owner. I never ate on site at the hotel. There's an In-N-Out literally across the street, McDonald's was a good option for a quick breakfast while on the go, and we went to Downtown Ventura and the pier for dinner.

We were looking for a place near the beach and in the Ventura area for the long weekend, and this showed up on the Bonvoy site. Reviews in general don't seem awesome, but we liked the location and figured we wouldn't be onsite much so we were fine with that. Our expectations were exceeded. We arrived before noon and Danielle found us a room that fit our needs AND it had decent ocean views over the sand. This was after she told us some rooms had "peek a boo" ocean views, and based on the location of the hotel and other buildings between it and the water that was all we expected. Our room was on the north side, 4th floor. Big and comfy bed, newish bathroom. Property in general is a bit tired, but it is also fairly priced for what it offers. Hot tub was clean (and hot). Gym was well stocked. Breakfast buffet for Platnium included eggs or omelettes and service was friendly. $16 parking was annoying but easy to get in and out. Hotel is well located for local restaurants, beach, and a nice walk to downtown
