As someone who grew up in Oxnard this ain’t it. $3 for habanero salsa that isn’t even good (free salsas aren’t good either) The breakfast burrito has maple sausage in there? Nothing says authentic Mexican like maple breakfast sausage in your burrito. Better tacos down the road. Tacos el Diablo or la Bonita for me. 🥴

For $56 dollars I expected better quality food but I can make better at home. Rice and beans had no flavor and the shrimp tasted old/overcooked. They were nice people but they took a while to finish the order and they also messed it up. Pork burrito was ok.

Update: changing review to one star because the food is not sitting well. It’s going to be a long night.

After getting delivery twice last week, I noticed it was just down the street! So tonight we did pick up and were able to see the new store. They did a very good job with the decor! But what will keep me coming back is the food. Mole nachos?!.Yes please!

They took about 30 minutes to make the food while I waited in front of the register, by the time I became impatient, I then asked them how much longer my food was going to take, and the same girl who took my order then look at the lineup of bags ready, to then show me that my order had been sitting on the counter for about 10 minutes. By the time I got it, it was cold. Wasn’t worth the $25 it had cost me. The girl who took the order, was very sweet, even attempted to get me a refund, but clearly the owners have other priorities. Not coming back.

The vibe of the restaurant is nice. It gives off kind of homey cozy vibes which is attractive to most. But I ended up waiting forever for one burrito and chips. Which by the way, there were only a baby’s handful size of chips in a bag meant for an adult 🤣⚰️. On top of that, people that came in after me got their food before me which was an order of a few burritos when I only got ONE!? So to my surprise of walking into a nice Mexican establishment I ended up with a mid tier burrito and enough chips to feed a hampster. It would be safe to start double checking your orders before you might get robbed like me!

I’ve came in twice now, and been greeted with super friendly service, quick wait times for my food, and a hot delicious meal. Living walking distance from here might be problematic for my waistline but overall worth it.
