We were off to a slow start-was the chef on break? But with an appetizer on the house, nice service, and a desire to eat Saag Paneer I waited. The Saag Paneer was full of flavor albeit I wish I had gotten it spicy not Medium. The Chicken vindaloo was good but not inspiring. The garlic naan good but it's usually fool proof. The complimentary rice pudding was light and the cardamom apparent. Good service except for food taking a while.

Great dinner date spot, especially if you get one of the window tables. The space felt more intimate, had more light, and overall, blocked out sound from the rest of the busy restaurant. A complimentary appetizer was provided which was nice, and I love the variety of options. My date and I shared the rack of lamb tandoori, chicken tikka masala, lemon rice, and garlic naan. All were so delicious, plus we received rice pudding as a dessert. Delicious food and great service!

I was in town on business and I found The Taj while out for a walk. The samosas were a delicious start and the lamb tikka masala was excellent. If I were to do it again I would order it "spicy" instead of "medium". "Medium" wasn't as spicy as I expected. The service was good and the decor was nice and atmosphere was very relaxing. I will be back again some day!

10/10!!! This place is one of the best restaurants in Ventura. The food was delicious. We ordered samosa as an appetizer. For main dishes, we got coconut chicken and garlic chicken, which came with garlic naan bread, our favorite, soup, and a side salad. We also had chai tea, which was amazing. As a delightful surprise, they served us dessert after our feast. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Taj to anyone living in or visiting Ventura. You will never regret it!
I can’t describe in words how much I enjoyed this place, the staff was so welcoming and friendly. The food is one of the best Indian food I had in my life! This restaurant is decorated in a very authentic style and the vibe there is very good. Prices are great and I would definitely recommend going there :)
The service was amazing, they never stopped, I admit I tipped 50%! They brought me dishes on the house as I had questions, I ate like a king and had food to go. Very charming atmosphere as well!
