Ventura Native here. Tony's does (did?) have awesome pizza but the last order we got was almost inedible. You know the lovely pictures you see of the pepperoni bakes to perfection and turned up at the corners? It was not that. It was...half cooked or something. There where WHOLE olives on it. I love olives but to bite into a half cooked pepperoni with a whole olive was gross. We will try them another time, though.

The food tastes fresh but it's too soggy in the middle and wasn't thick enough to hold everything. The taste is great and the crust was perfect for me. Everything else was great and the vibe is amazing but that was my only complaint.

If you are looking for a true authentic Ventura experience, then you head on over to Tony's Pizza. My husband just surprised me with over 100 of our favorite people at a private party he put together for our 30th anniversary and my 50th birthday. Bruce, the Owner, DJ'ed our wedding Back in March 1994. 30 years later, we are still going strong and to have our anniversary party at his place was nothing short of magical. The set up is like no other. An outdoor cemented patio with a stage for the band, plenty of room and seating for your guests, Parking can be tricky, but it works. Food and drink available for you and an ambience you won't find anywhere else. I can't recommend this place enough. Bruce took a historical special landmark and turned it into a legendary location that is worthy of being called Tony's Pizzeria. You have made this city so proud. Thank you for what you have given to all of us. Call today to book your event. Hurry up. Go. You will be so glad you did.

Ooooh weeeee this place is cool, the vibes, the service and then pizza is freakin delicious, I got pepperoni and chefs special, the slices are generous size and we got a veggie salad which was fresh and yummy, the ambiance is super chill it's close to the beach, we came here after hiking by the pier and then outdoor setup is so cute, they have outdoor games and sell beer- cool chill spot w great food I'll def be back!!

This is great ‘za!! They sell whole piizzas, or by the slice- all NY style. It’s entirely patio seating, but the patio is great. There are games to play and it’s in a great location.Parking: There’s a big lot behind the restaurantKid-friendliness: You can only eat outside, but the patio has many fun games- cornhole, a huge connect 4 and more. Lots to keep kiddos occupied. Being next to a busy street makes it less great for littles, but if they’re not runners, it’s fine.Wheelchair accessibility: The parking lot is gravel, which can be tough for chairs, but it’s doable

I honestly only stopped here because I smelled the pizza as I walked by, and it smelled amazing. I got a single slice combo on my way back to the Amtrak train and was very happy with my purchase. It was around 5 pm on a Friday and I was first in line to the little walk up window. Very simple setup. Employees were all really chill and nice. And my slice was fresh and hot, ready in like 10-15 min. They also have a tiny bathroom which was very welcome. All the seating is outdoors, which I loved. And the patio is so cute. They have those adirondack chairs and a bunch of lawn games. Definitely good for families and groups. Nice vibes but I wouldn't really call it beachfront since it's after the fairgrounds, an overpass, and train tracks. But it's within walking distance of both the beach and downtown Ventura. I ate my slice on the train and was very happy! Def will be back on my next jaunt to Ventura!
