What can I say about Ventiki other than it’s a family and friend favorite? My father introduced me to this place and my boyfriend and I have been going frequently ever since and have introduced all of our friends to this place. It is probably one of our favorite ways to spend a Friday or Saturday night in Ventura. We visit rain or shine because we know it’ll always be good. The food is great, the staff are always friendly, and the drinks are on fire!! Literally! My boyfriend and I are working our way through the passport and are loving it. I can highly recommend the Kona Cooler if you want something more savory to cut through all the pineapple they use or order the Chunky Monkey for a tasty surprise. My only hangup about this place is that because they are always so busy you will have to wait for service either placing an order or waiting for your order, so go with plenty of time to kill and good company to keep you occupied while you wait. Also, follow their Instagram for cocktail and food updates for new items! Oh, and be sure to take an Uber, you’re going to need one after a couple drinks.

My brother loves this place and wanted to come here for his birthday before a concert, but we were met with the worst service!!!! Upon entry, he was yelled at for no apparent reason. Our food took an incredibly long time to arrive, and after waiting about 45 minutes for our drinks, we asked the waitress, only to be told she had forgotten. Then, after another 20 minutes of waiting, we noticed a party of six who had just been seated got their drinks within MINUTES—while we still had nothing! This is completely unacceptable and incredibly disappointing. What a shame. Please get it together!!!!!

This is for sure my go-to place in downtown if I want a relaxing drink and quick bite. The food has no business being this good at a Tiki bar.

It's too bad we only had time for one drink because I wanted at least 5 things on the menu. Delicious cocktails, great atmosphere and overall a fantastic spot for a drink at sunset. A local at the nearby shop said the food was good too.

Is it a true tiki bar? Maybe. The drinks are pretty heavy on juice and sweetness and lacking in any real alcohol. Flavors are also one-note. It leaves a lot to be desired.
The ambiance isn't bad, but the more you look around, the patio seems to be littered with cheap, low-end decor, making it feel less artfully immersive and more thrown together. I can't speak for the inside bar, as I was not permitted to enter due to it being 'full.'
The staff really could use a lesson in customer service.
Several of the waiters seem to not want to be there or help you. It's hard to get their attention, and hopefully, you don't have any issues with your order because they're very reluctant to help. Also, the staff feel it's okay to verbalize insults regarding the customers in front of said customers.
It's truly appalling. Wait times between being seated, ordering, and receiving the order are painfully slow.
Overall, truly a disappointment and will not be returning.
There are other fine establishments just down the street that deserve your patronage more than Ventiki.

I’ve been here many times. Love it! It’s honestly a cool place to go and have a drink and some grub.

One bad apple spoils the bunch sometimes. Ventiki was having a bad day. This one female server seems to always have a bad day. She’s served us a few times and sadly, she’s just a crab apple.

This day and age when you can go anywhere to spend what little cash flow is left after taxes, bills, groceries in the house, putting gas in the ride, insurance… I really wanted a drink and the kalua pork sliders from Ventiki.

Hospitality, kindness and gratitude go a long way. My last visit was lacking those key elements. Had one drink and left. Kitchen was closed due to an illness and the way she handled that situation was just rude.

I will be back. But will grab a drink elsewhere if she’s working. Not worth the aggravation. Funny thing I mentioned my experience to a friend and she shared she same experience with the same server.

Alejandro (Alex) was an A++ superb service! He was friendly, attentive and funny! 2 drinks, 6 tacos, 1 firepit= a GREAT TIME! Drinks are off the hook huge and well portioned for the smaller ones. Tacos were perfect on a late night date. Shrimp > chicken. Zombie was amazing, see pics. Fire pit keeps you warm on a cold ocean night!
