Absolutely fantastic experience at Crab N' Spice! My wife and I decided to try it out and we were blown away. The crab legs were cooked to perfection, and the spicy sauce they came with was just the right level of kick - flavorful without being overwhelming. The shrimp and clams were equally impressive, fresh and full of taste. It's clear that quality is a top priority here. The staff was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, adding to the great atmosphere. Highly recommend to any seafood lover out there. You won't be disappointed! ?

The captain's choice is truly choice. Great food, great seasoning, excellent flavor I highly recommend this place. The staff is very nice and great service.

To our surprise, it was better than Boiling crab. We got the Captain’s Choice in the mild sauce. It was delicious! It was very busy during dinner time.I just want to say that the waitress were doing it all and they worked as a team to check in customers, taking orders and being the busser. But, it would be of great help for the waitresses to have a busser or /host to check in customers and clean tables to seat the customers. Unfortunately, place closed at 8pm but stop taking customers after 6pm because of the long waiting list. Very small space. But overall great food and waitresses.

Would be 5 stars but the last 2 times I've picked up my order I've waited 15-20 mins more to receive my food and they keep forgetting my bread but I really do enjoy their food.

It's okay. Good flavours, they push a diginal menu that you scan via QR Code, but theres a catch. Once you scan the code, it takes you to a page, which is a bunch of ads, and you have to skip the ads some contain bloatware very odd placement even the waiters tell you how to skip the ads to get to a menu? I hope they do not get any revenue from this.

Calling your establishment over the course of an hour multiple times without anyone picking up is unacceptable, looking at the server at the counter right in the eye and asking if there going to pick up the phone and getting a reply that were really busy and will get to it is a reason why im not coming back to this

We have been this location many times since 2016. But now looks like now food quality is not the same. Recently we got 2 pounds shrimp, noodles and cajun pasta. Shrimp quality was cheap seafood buffet quality and i paid $13.99 per pound for those shrimp. I can tell shrimp was not fresh and already became mushy. My wife got upset stomach after eating those shrimp and eventually we throw away half the shrimps. When i ordered online it didn’t say cajun pasta has meat. But there was a meat in the pasta so also ended up throwing that away.I would say go to seafood buffet rather paying more to them for the same quality.I might avoid going to them again.

I called in from Los Angeles to do a surprise anniversary dinner for my Best Friend & her Fiancé. The Manager Alicia was so helpful. She bought all the balloons and set up for me, took the order and have everything ready before they arrived. The Server Gisselle was perfect! I couldn't thank you guys enough for being so helpful! My Best Friend & her Fiancé loved everything!! Definitely, a must have!

Such a great deal for their Castaway!!!For about $90 you get quite the deal with Snowcrab, mussles, shrimp, corn, potato, and lobster tails! My girlfriend and I came here after a day in the water and had quite the appetite. The serving size as great and the quality was even better! The restaurant was pretty busy on a Saturday night as expected so I wouldn't expect the fastest service here as our waitress seemed pretty forgetful and spent a while getting back to us.My michelada was awesome! It came with a lot of chamoy/Lucas for a great mix with the modelo negro. Of course we couldn't finish all our food and had a lot to take home after even with our hefty appetite... The seafood was all prepared extremely well and was super easy to crack the shelling open for the delicate meat inside! For their sauce we ordered spicy and I think it was very mild. Good flavor and seasoning just not a lick of spice in my opinion which was a let down as I do enjoy some spicyness with my meal. All in all the deal is hard to beat! We enjoyed our meal and look forward to our next meal at Crab N spice!!

Came here around 6 pm on a Saturday after going to Channel Islands National Park. There was plenty of space to park. We waited a few minutes at the host stand bc there were already some parties there but we were quickly sat. We decided to get the Castaway combo, spicy, all in sauce (all their sauces combined). It's $90 for 2 lobster tails, a pound of snow crab, a pound of shrimp, a pound of mussels, 2 corn, and 2 potatoes. We decided to get an extra order of potatoes. We also got an order of fried calamari for $11. My partner also got a michelada. The food came out super fast. The fried calamari was alright, but I regret getting it. It was nothing compared to the seafood we got. My partner liked his michelada and drank all of it. We were so happy with the amount of food we got and for the price. Absolutely a steal!!!! The seafood was fresh and delicious. I only had about 3 mussels that didn't open. Other than that, all the other seafood was tender and cooked perfectly. The sauce was super delicious, however it wasn't spicy at all. Maybe it was forgotten (the employee helping us did forget a few things sometimes that we had to ask for again bc she was busy). I thought it was unique to the crab boils we have in the valley because of the coconut and pineapple flavors from their coconut and Hawaiian seafood boil sauces. You can't get a better deal than this. I would drive all the way to Ventura just for this crab boil alone. Will be back 100%.

I absolutely fuckin' adore Ventura Crab N Spice. It's like the promised land for gluttons like me. I walk in, and the waiter doesn't even flinch anymore; she just throws me a nod and says, "Keep ordering, buddy, and remember, your cardiologist sends his regards."If you haven't graced the hallowed halls of Ventura Crab N Spice, you're missing out on a spiritual experience. But heed my advice: don't venture into this spicy sanctuary without a seasoned pro. You know, a battle-hardened veteran who can decipher the menu, gauge your spice tolerance, and calculate the precise rice to meat to corn ratio. Because far too often, I've witnessed newcomers stumbling in, whining about the heat levels and acting like they've never seen a crustacean they had to de-shell themselves. Seriously, folks, you gotta put in some elbow grease here (yes, that means peeling, cracking, and dare I say it, getting your hands dirty). Pro tip- bring your own gloves and wear a shirt that you dont care about. But I digress. My ritual here is as predictable as the Bachelorette (shes going to pick the fuckin squared jawed, block headed white dude with the supercuts haircut to the side with a body fat of 3% over and over again) yet it never fails to make me happier than a sloth in a hammock.Round one: I summon the Shrimp, shell on, bathed in Crab n Spice with Garlic Butter - and it's got to be extra spicy, like "my taste buds just joined a mosh pit" spicy. Oh, and throw in some sausage and corn for good measure, because why not (pause i love sausage pause)?Round two: I'm at a crossroads, like a character in a goosebumps book where you choose your own destination. Will I stick to the shrimp shindig from round one, or do I feel adventurous enough to swap in some mussels? Decisions, decisions...Round three: Yep, you guessed it. I summon the Shrimp, shell on, with the same Crab n Spice and Garlic Butter concoction, still extra spicy, and keep the rice coming. Variety is for the weak.Round four: And then, as if I've reached the sweet, buttery shores of gastronomic Nirvana, it's time for beignets. Because nothing says "I've just had a shellfish feast" like indulging in sugary fried dough pillows. So, folks, do yourself a favor and embark on this spicy, messy, and utterly gratifying adventure at Ventura Crab N Spice. It's so bomb that even your arteries will give it a standing ovation. And extra fuckin' cudos to the waiters here. They are so kind and nice.

I've been here twice, and my food was just warm. Other places make shrimps pound and sides very hot. What's the point eating there if the food is not gonna be hot. I wouldn't go back here.

Food was delicious! We will be back ... you can ask for gloves, I did not know that until I heard another guest request them.
