House of Empanadas

These are the best empanadas I have ever had, if you live in LA and you are not eating these empanadas I Dorn know what you are doing. Special shoutout to the philly cheesesteak and the guava cheese dessert empanada. These are incredible, they rock, best empanadas ever.

I purely stumbled into this place by accident after my car broke down across the street. After I got the car towed, I chose this location to get picked up by a Lyft driver. I was starving and had some time before getting picked up so I ordered an empanada. Beyond delicious! Came back the next day to try out some more empanadas. I'm about to recommend this place to everyone and bring some friends next time.Extremely friendly service as well!

Love this place. There aren’t many Puerto Rican restaurants in LA, but this one is hands down the best! Very authentic. The empanadas are amazing and so is the rice and penil. The Tembleque cheesecake is fire too!

Parking: Usually plenty of parking spaces available.

We were in the neighborhood in search of a flea market which was unfortunately closed. We saw this place on our way back home and decided to stop by and try. We were blown away by how tasty everything was and the service was amazing! I HIGHLY recommend you try their “La Jibarita” empanada. It was crazy good! And it comes with a delicious mango salsa! We also tried and loved their “Plato tipico” which comes with pulled pork, yellow rice, a salad, and fried sweet plantain. Can’t wait to come back to this place already!

Usually everything served at this restaurant is delicious but the other day my ham was greasy and clearly not fresh. I was disappointed because I love PR food :(

I didn't even have time to take a picture. The food smelled so good, so I tore it up on the way home it was delicious. I had the empanada de pizza and the Empanada de beef and cheese, just the best!!!!

The food was amazingingly delicious! I had the red beans, white rice, pulled pork and maduros plate. Also enjoyed the beef empanadas and the Cuban empanadas.

If I could give this place a higher review than 5 stars, I would! The food quality here is amazing. This is hands down the best Puerto Rican food in Southern California! The empanadas were all delicious! The crispness when you bite in and the inside of any of these are stuffed with deliciousness. All of them were good in their own way!Both sandwiches we tried were great but the one that stood out the most was the one with tostones.They also make the best abichuelas!And don’t forget to order the chicken chicharron, you will not be disappointed. The chicken is seasoned well, crunchy on the outside and meaty and juicy on the inside. What an incredible establishment. The inside is spacious and neat. The staff is wonderful and welcoming.They do get busy and keep in mind that they are doing everything from scratch. If you’re on your lunch break order over the phone. If you have time to wait then I promise you it’s worth the wait!
