The worst tacos in the whole world, the basket ones, all very cold and very greasy, I don't recommend them, I'm vomiting a lot ?

Tried them at a smogasborg 8 dollars for one taco and was not the best I've tried I asked why it was so expensive and was told because they use double tortilla not even 5 Puntos charges that much and the tortillas are handmade

I made a perfect five star review for the smorgasborg and should have used it for this one! their lechon tacos are bomb! its made of all different insides of a pork, served street style! highly recommend if u love street tacos

The tacos are all freshly made, even the pork is freshly cut by hand. I went for green salsa which was a little spicy but VERY delicious. Definitely just two were not enough.

Los Cochinitos is a small taco stand at Smorgasbord. I had stopped by another food stand next door when I was feeling thirsty as it was an extremely hot summer day. I noticed they had aqua frescas. Pineapple Aqua Fresca ($5) - I went with the pineapple aqua fresca and it was extremely watered down. The day before I tried another aqua fresca place at Grand Central Market and that was so much more potent. I would pass on their extremely watered down aqua frescas here as there are much better places out there. Don't know about the rest of their food.

These guys are my favorite taco vendor at Smorgasburg. Their chicharonnes (pork skin) tacos are just fantastic. I haven't ever really liked chicharonnes that much before, but I've come to Smorgasburg a couple times now to specifically get theirs and satisfy my cravings. It's gloriously fatty with the right amount of chew. Carnitas seem to be their signature item and overall a mix of both is probably best, but I would definitely recommend getting at least one taco de chicharonnes to savor by itself. Their tacos are quite ample in size. Larger than a lot of places. I think they come out to $5 each but you get a lot of meat and thick double tortillas - it's very filling and a good value. Also, I definitely recommend the cucumber aqua fresca which is refreshingly tasty and sweet. Their jamaica (hibiscus) aqua fresca is sweetened more than I normally find elsewhere. I prefer a tarter version myself but theirs is good, just different. Also, really nice service and just cool folks all around.

A friend of mine said they were "the best carnitas ever" after trying their Smorgasbord LA stand... (I think they were a new vendor there right before Covid) ...so I had to check out @loscochinitos_ for myself.=========LOCATION=========Hidden at the El Faro Swap Meet in East LA... the saying, the more dangerous the neighborhood the better the tacos applies. The street parking was brutal but there are a few parking lots nearby. Inside they had a lot of seating and 2 locations set up.==========THE MEATS==========~ BUCHE CON MACIZA TACO - Large tacos! Pork stomach and skin meat mixed taco. Light in color, amazing texture and taste. Really delicious flavor. (5/5)~ TORTA AHOGADO / WET TORTA SANDWICH - This was orgasmic. This Guadalajaran style sandwich was nested in a lake of delicious mesquite red sauce that had soooo much flavor. It was a tantalizing sensation for my tastebuds. (5/5)~ TONGUE / LENGUA TACO - Great texture and seasoning. (4/5)~ TORTA DE SURTIDA - Their regular dry sandwich. Bread was good, the Torta comes with bread and meat. (4/5)==========NEED TO TRY==========~ TRIPAS - The window guy said to try it.~ CUERO CON MACIZA - Pork Shoulder with skin.~ LOADED FRIES - Basically carne asada fries with Carnitas instead.~ SURTIDO - Try the actual meat. (Sample)~ CACHETE - (cheeks) Tender and delicious, tastes like butter.~ CHICARRON - ==============FINAL THOUGHTS==============Not gonna lie... that BUCHE CON MACIZA taco was one of the best bites I've ever taken. That pork stomach with the skin mixed in was soooo buttery and flavorful and textually delicious. Don't let the $3.99 price tag fool you. These tacos were huge and crammed full with meat. They used large tortillas and the tacos had more than double, almost triple the amount of meat of a regular street taco. No skimping here. Two of these will fill you up if you're big (I'm 6'3", 225 lbs) and one of these will satisfy you if you're small. If you're curious what type of meat you'd like, ask for a sample and they'll give you a small piece of meat to try. The workers themselves were pretty cool. They were super busy yet took time to answer a couple question I had about which meat would be best. Overall they have a HUUUUUUGE variety of meats. The selection included about 15 or so different types and parts of carnitas including: skin, ear, lung, heart, cheeks, etc.You can even buy their meat by the pound. The guy who came over to help me (I think he may have been the owner) ...a small dude named Dilan, said they cater as well. Might have to have them cater my next house party when Covid ends.I ended up taking a pound of their mixed carnitas home with some tortillas. It's among the best carnitas I've ever had. These Michoacán style carnitas were loaded with flavor and super juicy. It was a very authentic experience and I felt like I was back in the streets of Mexico. I'm definitely going to go back there and try more stuff. Usually when you see there's a long line that's a good sign... and they didn't disappoint! The salsas were fresh and spicyThe food was super fresh and if you're not sure what type of meat to get, ask for a sample and they will give you a small piece of meat to try. Don't let the $3.99 price tag fool you. These tacos were huge and crammed full with meat. No skimping here. Two of these will fill you up if you're big (I'm 6'3", 225 lbs) and one of these will satisfy you if you're small.

This morning, I scored tacos at Smorgasburg L.A. from a brand new vendor, Los Cochinitos. Their superb "Carnitas Mixta Taco" (98/100) belongs in the discussion of Los Angeles' top carnitas tacos. Can't wait to have it again next Sunday!

If you're looking for a spot to hit your carnitas cravings, this is it. Stop looking around for places that end up letting you down. You got a good service crew, and the food doesn't need me to say it's good. You'll find that out on your own. I tried their loaded Fries, say no more. Thank me later. Stop by and have a good lunch without emptying your pocket!

No reviews for yelp?! Guess ill be the first! I tried their carnitas tacos at Smorgasburg earlier today. Wasn't really in the mood but the butcher/ meat prep person was handing out samples! So I thought i'd have a sample before getting pizza 2 tarps down. But I never made it to the pizza spot. Instead I got two carnitas tacos. And although each taco was $4, they had VERY generous servings. I ordered 2 but ended up sharing with my party bc they were so big! The caarnitas had good flavor and were NOT dry at all. I saw their menu had specialty fries like asada fries. They had other items but really the carnitas were enough. So yummy! Their instagram page is more interactive than yelp. So if you need more convincing try looking them up on IG! I didnt take a pic of my tacos. I didnt even walk more than 3 stops from their stand. I was so excited to eat the taco!

Came to try the wet sand which and was not disappointed! The food and the atmosphere really catered well to where they are located and over all left a great taste in my mouth. Will be back soon
